Batman for me has always been more than a man though, he's the most disciplined human being on the planet, he always wins(which works for the character). I love the duality and the meta factor of the character as well. The first part of The Dark Knight Returns with Two-Face and then Batman talking to Bruce Wayne and Bruce having to deal with his own duality are amazing

I miss the trope of casually fading into an existing conversation at the beginning of the show. I know its gotta be hard to pull off, but I liked the feel of walking into a conversation you'd overhear in a comic book store that you get pulled into. Okay, funny enough, someone at DC had a similar idea about Riddler and the Lament Configuration from Hellraiser, but they were writing for 2004 Batman show tie-in, The Batman Strikes. Last issue of that book, Riddler becomes freakishly obsessed with a demonic puzzle box. It was one of my first Batman comics.

I think the reason the subsequent DC/Dark Horse crossovers fell a little flat is that the first time Batman or Superman met the Aliens and Predator, they put those heroes into an Alien/Predator story. But the sequels put the Aliens and Predator into a superhero story and thus they ceased to be horror antagonists.

so, I red the Batman vs Alien 2 and o boy. Killer Lovecraftian start but the third part.... I like that somebody finally tried to do the "weaponized xenomorphs" and get it to stage of prototypes but what they had done in this case was stoupid. Without going much spoiler, they had made "xenomorphs soldier" less effective than regular xenomophs

23:26 Man, I remember the days when my dad would take me to the movies every week. It's fun generally. But there's a time every couple of months when you've *seen* everything so you wind up seeing a couple of movies 3 or 4 times because there's nothing else on. It's how I saw Spider-Man 3 like 3 times in the theatre. Which wasn't a huge deal to me back then since I was like 12 when it came out and at that age I didn't know what a good movie was. In my mind, any Spider-Man movie was a goddamn awesome movie. But then again, SM3 isn't even *that* bad a movie. It's just not very good.

I enjoy this book. Even though the mercenary gal backstabbing Batman felt a little contrived and I didn't care about her group, the atmosphere's still unsettling, the plot is well-paced, and the artwork's renarkably good. I do think the Predator crossover's better, though.

I just finished watching all of Back Issues episodes. I can understand why its your greatest series, and also why ur not very big. Shame on that. Something I gotta point out is how well Sal can explain a story to keep Ben and Ethan to stay there for an hour a week. So the question of Batman's cave being clean is finally answered. Batman And Son has Damien ask what he does to clean his area. Batman states the the bats have their own reservation in the caves. So, basically he sealed them off from his spot. Now we can wonder how they get out at night
