Got really into top cow universe after playing Darkness II the game. Read a couple Witchblade volumes and currently enjoying IX Generation.

I remember when I first bought a Witchblade comic as a young teen because I thought she was really attractive. Then I read the Unholy Union Crossover and realized she was super badass

I also discoverd her when I was a teen, but through my gf at the time, and I still have all the real issues (before they Lara Crofted her). Since The Witchblade is and was the only comic I ever was interested in; I still hate it what Top Cow turned it into. The tv serie sucked as well, and after a few episodes I stopped watching. I didnt liked Yancy Butler acting, also Anthony Cistaro (Kenneth Irons) Eric Etebari (Ian Nottingham) did a horrible job to my opinion. Story wise and of course outfit wise the serie to me wasnt the Witchblade either, its a ashame how they flushed it down the drain.

I wish WitchBlade made a come back in to popularity. In the early 90's I was really young didn't have much of a comic collection yet, I didn't have the money because I was a kid and I hadn't really took comics seriously yet as I do now heading In to my 30's. I think Image could knock it out of the park right now if they would revive and make a whole new arc to create a whole new generation of fans. For instance Dynamite took its chances with Vampirella which never went out of publication threw its survival hopping from one company brand to the next but today the Characters is as popular as she was in the the late 60's when she appeared in Warren Magazine. Plus as a second thought a animated WitchBlade series from the origainal American series would be mind blowing after what was seen done with Invincible on Amazon video.

Well, (I am not a fan of the minimal costume) the Witchblade is sentient, so it can move/protect wherever it needs to... But yeah. The shreds your clothes and turns into a metal bikini every it activates was weird. Much preferred the actual armor that it would create in the series.

The anime/ manga are separate from the comic (I think) I think the anime/manga version of Witchblade are from their own universe

The TV show, with Yancy Butler, was canceled, because the network it was on, was eliminated by it's owners. And, because, the TV show would lose a significant portion of it's audience, when the NFL pre-season started... Because? Some men, like watching a bunch of other men running around in tight pants, more than watching Yancy run around in tight pants...

He was the worst thing to happen to Witchblade. Fucking Patrick Gleason was horrible, killing Jake McCarthy was dumb and pushing his fetish for replacing heroes was annoying.. He took all the sexiness from the book.
