This has got to be one of the greatest story lines in the whole entire Batman mythology. If anybody was going too get this close to Batman and destroy him in this manner I would've never considered it to be the Joker who would be the one to do it. I've thought it would beenRa Al Ghule . Vandal Savage , Lex Luthor . the Toddler , Two Face Penguin , MR Freeze . Bane , Court of Owls or even Thomas Wayne but never did I thought it would be the Joker. Like that old saying goes you can't judge a book by its cover.

I can just imagine that's how the jokers plan fails. A grandiose battle between batman and joker with them about to exchange final blows when all of a sudden an IRS agent with Marshals as backup shows up and goes "Joseph kerr, you are being audited and have a warrant for tax evasion" then the marshals arrest him and then the agent looks at batman and says "Do you file your taxes batman?" and batman peaces out yelling "I'm batman!"

I'm not entirely pleased with the expression that Harley is not a good fighter. She has kicked a whole lot of ass, in relative ease. It's kinda like the Rorschach effect. He is not the most trained fighter, unlike Nite Owl & Silk Spectre who had extensive martial arts training. He is, however, highly resourceful and very unpredictable in his fighting style, capable of using almost any object as a devastatingly strong weapon. Think of it this way - A woman holding a giant mallet is just a woman holding a giant mallet, Harley holding a giant mallet is akin to a time-bomb nuke with a faulty clock.

As soon as the Underbroker showed back up this time, the first thing I noticed is: "... He's wearing a blank version of the designer's mask." And then he betrays Catwoman... Hmm... The character is relatively new isn't he? The costume is just as sharp and unique as the Designer's and the biggest difference is simply that it's all the same outfit not the suggestive blend of militaristic and royal looking garb that covers the designer. It's so effectively simple for the big reveal to be that the Joker was basically trying to keep Batman safe. Instead of being someone who himself wants to watch this world burn, this portrays him much more strongly as someone who for some reason needs BATMAN to be the one to watch while the world burns. The Joker might enjoy it, but he's doing it for Batman to see.

Headcannon: Since we know that joker is a genius level intellect on par with batman, I would bet that this whole "break batman" thing is just a ruse for what he was truly after. Which is TBWL. That guy has the joker's whole schtick added onto Bruce's mind, body and resources. The only way for either bats or the joker to get rid of him was: A. Bats gets the jokerize treatment (which we saw fail) or, B. The Joker gets control of Batman's tech and resources, in essence a reverse of TBWLs. Cuz that guy is a survivor with backup plans in backpacks for days. If this whole death metal thing doesn't get rid of him, then both Bats and Mr. j need to keep watch in their every step.

Hey Mr. Rob! What I'm about to say might be a little crazy but I don't think punchline wants to be Joker's girlfriend but his partner/ second in command. She seems like a person that doesn't care to be in relationship. What if the Joker is just a learning experience for Punchline and once he is no use she discards him or even put in a plan for a takeover, not to be the new joker, but her mind someone better. Punchline could be the Joker's karma and the role could be reversed, as where as, the joker is punchline's harley quinn.
