More or less. They've definitely set him up for that "really good at heart but willing to kill when there's no other choice" kinda character. Problem with Red Hood is that these days he is just another good guy... he was pretty much my ideal character before "re-joining" the bat-family. I mean, what's more badass than Batman?... Punisher trained by Batman! They need to get him back killing again.

This was such an awesome story arc, the fight with Grodd was phenomenal as well as the conflict between new Flash Family.....opening doors to new exciting storylines. The ending sequence was just amazing like it felt like an adrenaline rush at that final push moment. Overall such an amazing rebirth story giving official birth to Rebirth Flash Family and giving us a little bit of context of flash attachments....some call it obsession but it like speedforce is a part of Barry, kind of extension of sorts(understandable situation same with any longtime die-hard superhero).

That would either be Amazo or Composite Superman(the half superman half batman character) both are pretty much what you've asked for, cept, villians... however, in the current storyline, there is a bad guy that fights with Damien Wayne Robin and John Kent Superboy, Kid Amazo, who has a sister, possibly also an "Amazo" she could become a superhero, and thus fit all your criteria.
