I find it adds so much to his and Lex's characterization for them to be good guys(especially, as snarky good guys), by exploring undeveloped narrative & story routes. Like Harley before them, it naturally adds more edgy heroes to the mix, while still leaving open the option for them to be non-villainess antagonists(see Suicide Squad vs Justice League).

I feel like his strength lie much more in being a gifted planner, his predictive abilities being reflected in his utility belt and contingencies. Terry was a much better empath and improvisational combatant, he had a multipurpose batsuit, but his abilities to understand others and think on his feet are something beyond Bruce, so much so that it was the key to the Joker's final defeat. However, Bruce compensated for this with years of training, conditioning and technical knowledge. Each Batman is amazing in his own way.

Not Earth 52, it's Earth -52 as in minus 52, a negative number. The Batman who Laughs spoke of the Dark Multiverse as ''Down here'' and our DC Multiverse as ''Up there'' so all the universes in the Dark Multiverse are designated with negative numbering.
