Really enjoyed this video!!! Love the art style of the cards and really liked the simplicity of the game! I got Dune vibes for the deck building, but I don't have many games like this. I will have to try and track this one down! I can imagine this would be awesome with a group, question though, would the boss have higher health with more players? It would make sense haha!

I know you’ve been into this hobby for a while. Although it’s only been about a year for me, that’s long enough for me to know that it is NOT cheap to sleeve games. I noticed that every time you play a card game, you do the same thing I do and sleeve everything! Do you repurpose games that you don’t play or do you sleeve them all? I sleeve them all but I am considering alternative options like reusing sleeves from games that don’t hit the table too often. I know I’ve mentioned this before but you do a great job clearly explaining what you are doing while playing a game. It makes it really easy for me to understand and follow what you’re doing. That’s not easy! Everything you show calls my attention but I have to slow down. This looks great but so does the rerelease of both LotR LCG (I never played it yet) and Arkham Horror (also never played).
@DaletheCasualGamer3 жыл бұрын
I sleeve all deck-builders, games with secret identities or games that have a lot of shuffling. When I sell games, I unsleeve and then use those sleeves again. Thanks, and hope you enjoy the re-release for LOTR and Arkham! Both are fun games! :)

Awesome playthrough as usual Dale! just a quick question, how do you shuffle that massive deck in the middle?
@DaletheCasualGamer2 жыл бұрын
@Karam M. Very carefully. ;) Break it down into several smaller decks and swap sections. Or get brave and try them all at once, and then watch them fall on the floor.

great job as usual Dale... I looked at this game, decided not to get it then looked at it again.. and again decided not to get it.. then looked at it again... and again decided not to get it... what is your opinion of this game as a solo game even though you play co-op... for me I just don't think there is enough stuff to it... its too simple for my tastes but maybe I am missing something... what do you think?
@DaletheCasualGamer3 жыл бұрын
@idjester For solo "deck-builders", I think Aeons End still wins for me ... although when it comes to solo card games, I think you know which one gets all my play time. :) I enjoyed the game, and love the simple mechanics, but it's not a game I'd go back to again. But for the price point, I still think its worth it.

I have one gameplay question. Where does it say we reset health and deck after encounters. I saw some play with the deck they built going into the second encounter. I want to be sure I'm doing it right either way.
@DaletheCasualGamer3 жыл бұрын
@Andrew Ellis Good question, I don't see it explicit in the campaign rules except on page 5 for setting your cards to your starting health, and then just the "standard" rules for the start of each game to be at starting health. It will definitely up the difficulty and make you look for healing cards during the game. Good luck!
@thatubrewdude3 жыл бұрын
@@DaletheCasualGamer I will say tho, when you fight the ritual monster...it DOES say to use the same deck (which makes me thinking not using the same deck in new encounters before was implied?)

Pretty frisky for a five year old game. Well played. Considering how much DMG you applied on the last turn it isn’t fair for the text to describe the minions as “unconscious” Those damage dials look awfully familiar but I can’t quite place them.

Thanks for sharing. I have this game, but I don't think there many 'interesting' decisions to make during play. Not all, but most choices (card buying, playing, selection) are obvious. I enjoy Shards of Infinity more. It has a solo game. I find SofI card play more 'interesting'. Have you played SofI?
@DaletheCasualGamer3 жыл бұрын
@Tony Bowers I think I played it once, but I was really into Star Realms and it didn't seem different enough for me at the time to buy it, but agree, most decisions on purchasing cards just come down to how much money do I have. Thanks for watching! :)
@tonybowers94903 жыл бұрын
@@DaletheCasualGamer On the topic of deck building. :-) I'm mentioning this because you play a lot of deck builders and I appreciate your opinion. Often (in Hero Realms, Shards....) there is a common pool/deck for purchasing and there can be some very expensive/powerful cards showing up early in the card pool/draw deck. They just sit there several rounds until someone can afford them. Then, if a person snags 1 or 2 of them early (and other players don't) the game can become imbalanced. I'm no game designer and not a pro player, but I have thought many times it might be a neat mechanic to have tiers (maybe 3?) of cards in the draw deck/pool. Each latter tier containing better cards. The draw deck/pool begins with cheaper/weaker cards that you can purchase and the better cards don't show up until later when you can afford them. I guess that is a crazy idea, because I don't think I've ever seen it used. What are your thoughts on this idea? (I know it would require a bit more set up time to sort cards, construct the tiers, but it may be worth it.)
@DaletheCasualGamer3 жыл бұрын
@@tonybowers9490 Sounds like a solid idea to me!! And with the amount of cards in those games, I don't think that would to much to make tiers.
