Todd did it right - He made Al Simmons as 'one' of many Hell Spawns which means there can be several stories about different Hell Spawns. No reboot will ever be needed.

I've always respected this guy personally since I was a little kid and grown up with spawn and comics... but as of lately just watching little things to fall asleep to..I've stumbled across interviews like this and other pieces of media with Todd...and hearing the story how he left marvel and especially him sticking to his guns with how HE does things is the most inspiring shit I've ever heard... I love how can come across sorta cranky and old school...but THATS LOVE and PASSION for the business...and to be honest... its EXTREMELY motivating for me because I've been at a place of work for nearly 10 years and I've been scares to step out and start my own business...but with the support and self belief I'm finally starting to see the first steps come to fruition. And man...I cant stop thinking about how he stuck it to marvel and is STILL going strong.........doing it HIS way. Fucking #1 todd.

For some reason I always thought MacFarlane was a bit arrogant. I'd heard various things over the years that led me to think that. These interviews have been absolutely brilliant and a real eye opener.I've not heard as much sense spoken about comics for a long time, especially on pricing and rebooting. I've really changed my opinion about TM having watched these vids and even started buying some Spawn stuff again after 20 years.

I love his comment on not renumbering a series. I remember how disappointed I was when DC renumbered for "New 52". At the time I was collecting Detective Comics and had a continuous run from 450-881 and was thinking I would continue to collect until at least issue 1000, then DC screwed it up. That put me off comics for several years.

If you do that you should do your artwork inside of the number one and then on the back of the comic with the reverse artwork like looking through a mirror the opposite way
