I use my index finger for the first few and my middle finger on the fretboard for the second bit. Otherwise, finger exercises and try it again when you're a little smoother

@ZIDBULA The highlighter? it works as a capo (it will bring the guitar a whole step up in tuning, which is why it sounds so pretty!) kind of necessary if you want to be in the same key as the song, but you can always do a lower version of the song too! (if your voice isn't as high as dallas)

I just have to point out a little thing. The second time he plays it he starts with the Em chord then does the sliding part and goes back to the C chord with a finger pulled off and later hammers it on. Just saying. Great video though! Keep it up!

@Ollay245 chea.. i've basically engineered my own lol XD wrapped shoelace around a mechanical pencil, because the straight plastic sounds wrong and capo's have padding for absorption also. worked like a charm hahhaa

I play the top E string with the C's. Makes it fuller, and I think I've seen Dallas play it that way as well. as in 5-5-4-0-3-0, then 3-3-2-0-1-0. I'm also not sure he plays the B string not on the C at 5. Like 5-5-4-0-0-0 then 3-3-2-0-1-0 P.S, lose the arrogance "I feel sorry for others who play it wrong", more like "This is my version". I can assure you, you don't play it perfect. Dallas plays in a way thats difficult to nail, cause his rhythm is unique. He'll miss a strum here, add another there, ect. Yet those accents make a big difference. Its been awhile since I've really played along with the song, but I'm certain your slide up addition is wrong. Sounds wrong. E, C @ 5 slide down to C and slide up to C @ 5. Thats it, IMO.
