Flatland motorcycle does cover shovelhead. Took about an hour detour when you mentioned them. Good to have a lot of choices for parts. Most places are really heavy into V- twin. Try to avoid that shit when ever possible. Great video. If Meg dumped the oil on your head would have been hilarious 😂

Not sure about your file but, the one I have is two sided. Both sides of the file are filing surfaces. I was taught to put the file between the contacts and file both points at the same time. This way it matches the contacts to one another

Yes my points files are double sided as well. And your absolutely correct, you can stick the file in between the contacts and file both at the same time, I’ve seen it done that way as well. You could film a whole episode just on different techniques and styles on cleaning points, that’s mainly why I changed my mind on filming it, besides setting up the camera in a way to show it, but i know I’d get way deep in the weeds of varying opinions and views. I never claim to be a know it all, or this to be an educational channel, im still learning everyday. Just like sharing my journeys and to goof off on film!!! Great vid Slick! I was working on my shov last night and was checking the service manual on my plug gap, it recommended dressing the plugs with a nail file, or points file before gapping them. Never thought of that before, but it makes sense, so I dressed them up and gapped em. Pacific Mike is the godfather of everything Harley! Dont let Meg out west! Lol😅 Keep on keeping on brother 😊😊

OK number 2 the reason they went to those points is because that little fiber thing , a lot of people used the wrong grease on them so it ended up eating those things up, they didn't even last for a few months at a time. Also don't forget that static time just like everything else you gotta throw a light on it.

Number 3 sorry man couldn't help myself when you're doing the points take both sets both pieces both have put them together when you're running the points file back-and-forth through them that way you can get them level with each other Also yeah it's easier to doom when you take Em off the bike but who likes to do that.
