when i saw the large stone(we call hogen usually old concrete and when a building is torn down the remains are crushed and used instead of NEW stone,waste not want not eh ) i thought oh oh that's too big ,should have gone smaller with some dust...he's going to have to get Dust now.. and yep just as i thought, same doing inside as doing brick driveways dig, fill, level and finish basics are much the same.

My knowledge of concrete work is the Base is the most important piece, I don’t know of many contractors that are doing better than what you are doing, that is going to be one solid floor! 👍

Wife,nephew,brother and I were riding on the Hatfield-McCoy Trails in WV. I got the bright idea to pin my throttle on my CanAm Outlander XT 1000 quad. Bad decision. Hit a 2ftx2ft hole,helmet made hard contact with brake reservoir on lefthand side of handlebar, knocking me out,quad and I separate in air,I land on trail square across my shoulders left to right, think sliding home after stealing base,1/4" of skin off was result. Level 2 concussion, small external brain bleed, visit Logan and Charleston Area Medical Center's, 2wks off work (short term disability) gratefully. Released to work today after a video chat with primary doctor. No dizziness, fuzzy,foggy,blurred vision. No off feelings at all. I was a bonehead,I got got. Deservingly so. Quad is fine,no broken parts or death wobble, nothing. Lucky. I know better, well June 8th 2021,i remember paying for breakfast and waking up at Charleston Area Medical Center. That's all I remember for life. That's my prize for "Look at me I'm on a 1000". Dont be a bonehead friends, it hurts. Healing itches like crazy. Be safe everybody.

So I normally don't comment on videos, but I love this channel. Mike, you have really stepped up the audio game with this video. Hearing the bucket engage the stone, it was almost like ASMR. Very soothing. Great mix without too much engine noise. It was like sitting next to the bucket hearing it. Great stuff. The effort to get the sound right is big and you should know its appreciated.

Phil here from NE Indiana. I was wondering if less than an inch of sand on top of the 2A would work for the panels. I didn't want to say anything cause I didn't know. I figured if there was a better way you would be on it. I can't believe how many people still think you have retired. You just changed jobs. You're working for yourself. I would like to see a video of you doing a video. All the work and time that goes into making a quality video for us subscribers to watch. The process of where to put cameras, setting up cameras. I'm sure it's not all that easy. The more you do it, it probably does get easier but still a lot of work and time. Thanks for sharing and I'm wanting to watch the concrete pour.

Ever think about creating cribs out of those big heavy blocks that you considered a while back, and put your different piles of stone and dirt materials back into the trees on the back/side. Just think how many times you have moved the materials from place to place. Time is money. And the time spent being perfect in the area the pool will go, all that rock will just be dug up in a few weeks.

Hi Mike, Glad to see you took my advice and started blinding in your 2A limestone with sharp or concreting sand. You'll have noticed exactly how accurate and smooth the finished surface turned out after a couple of passes with the compactor. Not only this but the sand will have helped lock the various grades of limestone together in a much tighter configuration. Glad to have been able to help. Looking forward to both the inside and outside concrete pours.

Mike just bite the bullet and set up a mini stone yard to organize your piles of stone, dirt and mulch. You would save a lot of time and fuel moving it all over several times.

And you’re accelerating the insulation installation- you probably can just see the light at the end of that tunnel. I know it's too late now but I have found that what i call a concrete rake a really useful tool for spreading gravel. You can move the gravel around and it stays uniform because the smalls don't get left behind.
