Pretty piece. The gray skies make a nice backdrop for the red and white livery.

Nice camera placement to start this video, some verbal stumbles from the Ranger and a couple of cameos from Paul and his bicycle. I'd call this one a win. 😅

I didn't see any life boats on that ship.

If you look closely on the Port side, aft, you will see the crane, below the crane there are 2 white enclosures that I believe have the inflatables in it, or the suits. On the Starboard side, looking through some pictures I have, they seem to have a small lifeboat.

They are definitely working ships, showing their wear and tear.

I think Canada steamship lines take better care of their ships than algoma does.

In fairness, most of the Canadian ships do see salt water when they traverse the St. Lawrence, hence the rust. They also load more (deeper draught) when in the St. Lawrence hence the wear/rub marks further up the hull.

16 sets of locks to traverse between Duluth and getting into the St Lawrence River past Montreal. That's a lot of rubbing and scrubbing. And if watching live you can really hear it too. 😮 🍁
