This is the first video I've seen of yours and all I can say is that you're fucking awesome! You are very different from the other MTF transsexuals I've seen because they are usually just straight (they are attracted to men) but I've never seen a demisexual woman such as yourself, especially one who is a MTF transsexual but is attracted to women. :) Don't take it personally because I'm trying to be anything but insulting.

I came out as FTM and sadly it didn't end up going very well. I'm glad it did for you though. The 2 best friends I have were very accepting and open about it but my family isn't. My mother is still in complete denial about the whole issue refusing to believe it and thinking it's some sort of phase, while my sister believes its due to my past. This is honestly the hardest part right now, that and being called a name I hate and referred to with the wrong pronoun.

This is my first video I watch on your channel. I am asexual also. I was born an eunuch. Corrective surgeries did not change my psychological makeup. When I grew up in the 1960s no one talked about or was even aware of Transgender. I discovered it 3 years ago myself. I have been posting videos for 27 months. I am older than your parents.

I know it must be hard coming out as transgender, just comparing it to my coming out as lesbian. It was pretty fucking hard, if you'll pardon my French. Anywho, more than anything, just never forget: 1. You're beautiful, no matter what. 2. You are worth it. You matter.

Absolutely perfect! Please allow me to confirm that everything you said was dead on. I listened very intently and couldn't believe I was hearing my "Coming Out" story. I followed the same exact process and had the same results. I want to add that I too was considering SRS surgery initially and went back and forth for a few months after coming out. That decision and many more will definitely come when you finally start living your life as woman; notice I said as woman and not like a woman. You may have been born a male but you were supposed to be female....thus to be a woman. Thank you so much for your wonderful video. 💋

Thank you for posting this. I've had many discussions with people regarding transgender and those who feel that a gender change requires a sexuality change. I don't know why it's so difficult for some to fathom that a male can be heterosexual, transition to female without changing sexual preference. I love your channel :)

This is a great explanation of what transgendered is for those of us who are rather confused about this entire matter. It does make things clearer. I am putting this video on my "Coming Out As Gay" KZbin Playlist, and I hope that people will happen upon it. As for your passing as a female, you have nothing to worry about: You have been successful at that. Also, putting captions on this video will help those who are hearing-impaired.

one thing that u could have mentioned is to regardless if u u're 100 percent sure u're transsexual, to get on blockers asap anyways to be at peace for further musculinization of the body. and if u're sure u're transsexual, that your first priority should always be getting on hormones asap, regardless if social transitioning is already done, because the possible fear of not not passing will get less once physical changes come.

People can't believe you've never been kissed/had a relationship because you're so damn pretty. And I can't believe you don't have a bunch of friends because you're so nice and caring. But if you genuinely prefer being in isolation that's cool :) Although I used to think that, but I soon realised it just made me depressed. Having people around me keeps me happy and motivated.

It may be hard for people to believe, but Autumn has only been this person, the person that she wants to be, only very recently. She's said before that before and during her transition she was quite different and hated herself. Now that she has started loving herself she can probably express herself far better.

I appreciated the demystification between sexual orientation and gender identity. It's encouraging to all that we are not alone in our various settings in that the mental and physical aspects of our lives aren't easily resolved albeit with medication and therapy. Yes, society needs to change however, change starts with the individual in that we need to be true to ourselves and focus on what really makes us happy - life is too short to live in a cage made up by an archaic society. Thank you for sharing.

thank you for this, you are a huge help to many people struggling with their identities and this is what we all need to hear, that someone else has gone through it and has our back. Soon the trans community will be treated as equals and not seen as a shameful secret. I hope at least..

Hey Autumn, First of all, thank you do much for making these videos! You have helped me overcome a lot of the personal struggles in my life with regards to my identity. I am a bisexual, 17 year old girl. Recently I came out to my mother and told her about my sexuality.. She said that she "will always love me" but that she doesn't agree with my lifestyle. One of my best friends is transgender and she has really supported me throughout my life, especially when I started discovering my sexuality and began identifying as bisexual. Today I told my mom that I was considering binding myself because I don't always feel feminine and sometimes I want to look more masculine. She said that she "doesn't like that butch-y look," and that she thinks that my best friend is a bad influence on me. I know this is a big question, and that everyone has their own issues to deal with, but do you have any advice? Thank you SO much Autumn! Sorry that this question is so long..

I've watched several of your videos and I have to say that they are just wonderful. You've done a great job explaining them in such an awesome way that makes them so much easier for us laypeople to understand. I also think that you were truly blessed to have a grandmother as understanding and accepting as yours. Having watched one of my own siblings come out nearly 25 years ago, I know how terrifying it can be. Even in today's more accepting society, it’s still such a hard thing for LGBTs to endure. I wanted to ask you a couple of questions (and you may have already answered this but I simply could not wade through all the hate filled garbage that so many trolls feel the need to throw at topics like these): 1. How did you come to terms with your gender identification and your schizophrenia and other disorders? Did you ever worry that any of your disorders may have been influencing (or confusing you) about your gender identification? If you had any concerns, how did you work through that to a point where you felt comfortable with your feelings about your gender ID? 2. If you didn't have any concerns about your disorders influencing your gender ID, could you explain what it was that made it clear to you that they were not involved. Again, I think your videos are just wonderful, your grandmother is wonderful, and you are wonderful and absolutely beautiful. Thank you so much for helping the world better understand these things.

The only thing that worried me here is the way you said you didn't initially want hormones before transition and surgery, and seemed to think others feel the same. I am DYING to get hormones, they're the only part of transition I know for sure that I want. Is this worrisome, unhealthy or something bad? Is it feasible (I'm under the impression that HRT comes first in the transition-timeline, normally?)?
@AutumnAsphodel10 жыл бұрын
Andrew Crowley No need to worry about that. I know some people that I've been in contact with want to start hormones, but are scared to. Or others that are looking forward to it. Or even others that don't want to be on them. Personally, I wanted to be on them, but not until after surgery, which I was not even considering SRS. However, the more time passed, the more I needed to transition and be myself. So, that's why my mind changed. Before I actually started I became ecstatic about it and was *SO EXCITED* once I was on hormones and when it was time for surgery! All the best to you, hope things work out!
@crowley959510 жыл бұрын
Okay, thank you for the reassurance :) I'm so excited to think of getting HRT! The rest is unclear, but I'm hoping that my feelings will become more certain as I break down shame and start unlocking parts of my brain, as seemed to happen for you? By the way, thank you for these videos. They really are helpful, and were one of the first things that showed me transgender and transsexual people were real, and that it was a viable path for me. Before that, I was lost. Now, I'm still kind of lost, but not directionless. Thank you for that :)

+Liz Torres you aren't trans, therefore you haven't experienced feelings of dysphoria. this doesn't mean those feelings don't exist. pretty simple......................
@PrincessRainbowSparkles8 жыл бұрын
+Liz Torres i think (and im not a transgender woman so i obviously i dont exacty know how dysphoria feels) that feeling female means that you feel comfortable with things that are associated with feminity in our sociaty; for example, wearing female clothes, doing things that usually girls do, but also feeling like you would be happy to have a female body instead of having a male body plus feelings of self hate towards your actual body. Because maybe a boy likes makeup or likes female clothing or likes other things that in our society are considered female but feels comfortable in a male body, so he wouldnt be a transgender. So as I see it, being trans means feeling more comfortable on the opposite sex body, as well as feeling more comfortable with whatever society associates with the opposite sex.

@groupsaredumb10 жыл бұрын
Phill Pearson As a Christian (and a trans*) the reason why religion is involved is because to change genders is saying that God made a mistake (and God doesnt make mistakes). However, regarding the high number of suicides involved in the trans community and that suicide is treated in many religions as an unforgivable sin then a dilemma arises as to which is the greater sin; to say that God was wrong or to commit suicide.
@Vexic92910 жыл бұрын
groupsaredumb the thing is though, dear, that no sin is greater than another. I am a Christian as well and personally, I don't think that gender and sex have anything to do with each other. Your gender doesn't have to match your sex and that doesn't mean that God made a mistake. It just means your gender and sex don't match up, simple as that. I think gender is a ridiculous concept anyway, it's just a way to create "roles" for people to fit into. It's not even mentioned Biblically so there's no reason for it to be considered a mistake on God's part and so it isn't sinful to admit your gender and sex do not to match up.
@groupsaredumb10 жыл бұрын
Vexic929 I was simply stating that whatever gender you were born God wants you to die that gender; not have a sex change. He also doesnt want you to commit suicide either. Oh and there is one unforgivable sin and thats blaspheming the Holy Spirit which would mean that there are sins greater than others.
@Vexic92910 жыл бұрын
groupsaredumb But even the "unforgivable" sin is only unforgivable if you do not ask forgiveness and repent before you die, just like any other sin so there is no sin that is greater than any other. In the verse referring to blaspheme being unforgivable it generally means blaspheming by denying him completely which would be refusing to believe and ask forgiveness or repent. If someone asks for forgiveness and repents after they have done so before they are still forgiven but because most people do not it is referred to as "unforgivable" because they have already made up their minds and will not change them. As far as gender goes, as I said before, I don't think it has anything to do with sex. Yes, God wants you to die your gender and your sex and not change it because He made you that way for a reason but that doesn't mean that your gender and sex will match up.

I am now living with no need to be in a relationship and feeling the better for that. Thank you for this video.I considered being trans as normal as being alive so I just told people. I have a new trans sister my younger bro came out to all of us his dam and shes on hormones now. Do trans ever detransition. My bro became this way later in life. I have to accept it. Ive talked to her on the phone since she lives in a different state. But im nervous in person by how i may take it n have to get used to exactly how she is now. 🌈
