That "suicidal thoughts" broke me on a different level, i have never expected divesh went through this. I am so sorry divesh. This shows the reality of LGBTQ community. They are indeed unsafe. You are right, harm is harm, either physical or mental. I wish in future parents open up about it and support their children in every way. I hope people learn that this is normal and LOVE IS LOVE. I totally agree with you Annie. I once went to a debate conference, and I was in a committee called UNHRC (United Nations Human Rights Council) which was all about discussing about LGBTQIA rights. One of the executive board members was gay and I could clearly see in his eyes how he felt when we discussed about those topics. So I kinda felt like crying at that moment.

Just wanted to drop in and say that this video brought me to tears. This is just so wholesome and pure. I love Divesh's poise and incredible honesty throughout this. As someone who has gone and is still going through very similar experiences, I must say that I absolutely agree to every single point that you guys made. Having a strong support system - be it your family, friends, colleagues or even good acquaintances is just so important. We don't get to trust many people these days and I'm glad Divesh found such strong pillars of support around him whom he could trust and open his heart to. Would be eagerly waiting for Atulan's one! ❤️ (On a side note, Atulan is a very bad interviewer he keeps cutting Divesh off, very bad Atulan 🤣🤣🤣🤣 just kidding. you are adorable and so is Divesh!)❤️

This made me emotional for sure...its not just someone coming out of the gender closet you know...somehow we all live in our closets which are toxic...unhealthy but they wrap us around & we lose the confidence to fight...you're right guys...the people around us are really important... I really feel you two are my friends...so just sharing...I was a victim of abuse from my partner for 3 years...then a beautiful friend arrived & gave me the strength to fight...today I'm out & it was a learning experience for me & it doesn't bring tears anymore...I feel he doesn't deserve it... Don't know why I said all this but really felt like putting out there... Guys if anyone going through anything just surround yourself with people who help you grow...it really helps... So proud of you guys :) This is obviously something very personal and you guys decided to share this and im sure this will help many. We need more of this in our country- a platform where people of the LGBTQ+ community can talk and look upto discussions like this because as you said in our country things are always "swept under the rug". I strongly believe that once we stop conversations from happening, we find excuses (like "oh its just a phase") and not solutions which means accepting people for who they are, regardless of their gender identity and sexual identity. I liked how divesh spoke ! Every single thing that he mentioned was so articulate! He did not really blame anybody for his environment like how he said that students around me were not educated about this topic ! There was this guy in my school and I remember how used to be like oh is he gay , he never used to be like that before (this happened around 2017 2018) . It is really important for people to have the knowledge! Most of us don't even know about how they feel what they feel! Also I think that love is love ! It doesn't matters what gender you love ! In Hinduism as well people consider LGBTQ as sin! Even my parents get a little awkward well If I be honest they completely awkward Nd weird when something like this Comes up! But if we see our culture and religion LGBTQ was also there during Mahabharata!

The fact that my parents still think it's a phase and I came out when I was emotionally down thinking it safe is where I went wrong tho 🙂 I tried to explain everytime but anyway I'm deciding to moving out after graduating .My own happiness is much important to me rather than thinking about anyone else even if it's my parents sadly 🙂 I'm happy for you guys that somehow your parents accepted you and tried to learn after a long fight hope mine do that too which seems kinda impossible but sksks idc haha .Stay happy always!

Such rough years! We're very proud and thankful that finally it happened and your families know. I don't know what Atulan's status is like but I get you. when I was in the 9th grade I started to feel a little girlish and I searched for it just like Atulan did and I had my 1st boyfriend in at the very end of the lockdown we were in the same class it was used to be the very very best love even it was my 1st love and we went through the 2nd lock down things were going smooth but we are far away like 30 km away we started to talk in the phone like crazy every single hour it was very nice until we graduated 10th grade .he went for his hometown and he had his ex-girlfriend thereafter he came to home the afternoon he called me and said let's stop this! what will society say ? I think i still have feelings for my ex-girlfriend! at a point I started crying like crazy this broke my heart ---- ----------------even if i got married i can still love you ---------------- I was crying for 2 days and I can't even tell my parents, I was very lonely,after a few days he came back and said sorry, i just rejected him . he just asked for me like two days and he started cursing me. I just didn't give a shit, i left him behind for a year I was in the end of the 12th grade and I started seeing someone else he was sweet and the important thing was he was mature but after a few days he came up and said I am still talking to my ex (he also had an ex girlfriend) and she still had feelings for him soo what's next the next break up at the time of my 12th board exam my 1st ex showed up he said he got a new girlfriend and the shocking news was I was his 16th love ( now I feel relived ) and now I am going to get into the college life, you guys are really awesome I am really very proud of you for me I know Indian parents are scary but Tamil parents are way more scarier, it's like living in the 18th century but still I love them I hope they love me too I've been watching you guys for like a year you guys are really great 🏳‍🌈 😍 loves from Tamil nadu 😘
