Many of us who were brought up religious spent our youth trying to pray away the gay. It doesn't work. I got to the point where I started praying for death since the gay was not going away. It took a long time for me to realize that God loved me for who I am and He loves you as well. Very nice job on the video.

Ivan - I'm an elderly gay practising Catholic and I believe God made us how we are - part of the rich diversity of human nature which he created. I was really moved by the way you spoke up for LGBT people. Don't ever leave your religion - help change the attitudes of those who call themselves Catholics and don't understand that Christ has a special love for those the world despises. You speak so well, even though the music was so loud, you'll be heard whatever the opposition because you're speaking truth from the heart. God bless you!

This is great. :) When I was in third grade, I used to stare at the boy who sat in front of me in class -- he was the most beautiful person in the world. When our teachers showed us the old colorful 1968 version of "Romeo and Juliet", the other boys were crushing on Juliet and I was totally enamored with Romeo. There are so many, so many like us. It gets better because people like you have the courage to come out at such a young age. And no, you don't have to obey your parish priest. God didn't create the catholic church; it is a man-made institution created by flawed human beings, run by flawed human beings. To idealize the church or the priests, to place them on the same level as God is to do what the Bible warns against: to commit idolatry. Only you (and God) know your truth.
