I created a design and someone wrote a country song named the exact same thing as I wrote in my design after I created it. This is now one of my best selling designs on Amazon. I am just waiting for them to accuse me of stealing their lyrics... lol

If you sent it in before you should be safe unless you try to update it... I would leave it alone and you should be fine.

Great suggestion! Yes It has to be live and for product you are designing for ... in most cases tshirts and USPTO is just for US not for other countries.. every country has their own trademarks.... so yes... it would make a good video

Yes... sometimes one word can be trademarked.... before uploading anything I would check USPTO if you are selling it in the US and the trademark websites for the other countries if you are selling in those marketplaces

You know... I never used the lasso tool in PS but I don't think it does because it's more like Illustrator but Affinity Photo might have it

The word sunshine has a stroke right? How do you get the stroke to blend with the sunset? What i mean is, if I were to put it on a Heather blue shirt, how would that stroke dissappear? I don't know if this makes sense

Yes... it has a stroke around the outside of the word which I knocked out of the sunset

I just checked Amazon to see if your design was posted yet. I did not find anything with the brand name Detour SHirts but I did see a design, posted May 14th with the brand name "Retro Sushi Lovers 70s Japanese Nigiri Outdoors" that is an exact copy of yours, available on all shirt styles and a tote bag. I hope this is you and not some ungrateful follower of your channel.

Where can we find free fonts for tshirt designs if like say someone hasn't got budget to invest in say canva pro or other paid designing tools but looking for some good fonts for designing. I know Juna has mentioned some fonts he has used, I just can't think of them off the top of my head. Shimmy Morris put out a video regarding fonts, kzbin.info/www/bejne/jYm7ZqOZaN6pl80. Basically, you can look up "Google Fonts", click on the choice "Fonts", then "Free Fonts". I have used that site. Hope that helps.

I have a free fonts video on my channel... Live on USPTO doesn't always mean you can use the phrase.. it can be trademarked for different products or subjects....If it's live for t-shirt and you are design a tshirt then you should stay away..... the chrome extension I use to see the BSRs is called DS Amazon Quickview

The camper designs in both my Redbubble shops have been flagged for review. I see in your FB group that several others have their long-standing designs suddenly under review now too. Not sure if it's random or if they're just going after camper/RV/van designs.

I got a wining design that has the quote 'Not Alll Who Wander Are Lost' . This phrase belongs to some song lyrics as well but I believe its not their intellectual property as this phrase came from a classic Poem. So if it's a title or popular phrase or lyrics from a popular you could be at risk for copyright....in your case where the lyrics are from a classic poem you should be alright for copyright infringement if the poem is old enough are public domain (anyone can use it).... sometimes popular phrases are trademarked.... you will have to check USPTO for registered trademarks... if it is trademarked for t-shirts you can not use it when design your own tshirts... if it's not then you are fine

Juna, I just bought one of my own shirts on Amazon merch. The t-shirt quality seems kind of low. The t-shirt felt cheap. The colors were a little off. On white lettering I could see parts of the black t-shirt. The yellows in the design seem muted. I know there is nothing we can do about this. Are you satisfied with the quality of shirt you are selling to your customers through these channels?

I know they aren't the best quality that is out there but I am satisfied with the quality... I think most people are okay with it... Yes, Printful is probably better quality especially since you can upgrade the type of shirt..... People still buy thousands of shirts a month from me with Merch by Amazon so it's not slowing down sales in anyway.... If it did I think Amazon would fix it.

Hi Juna!! Loved this helpful content. I always come away with some great ideas that produce sales!! Question .... Would it be possible to go over a step-by-step process for reporting copyright infringement on Amazon? I have a great selling T-shirt (thanks to YOUR trend credits suggestion!) that has at least five pixel-for-pixel Amazon copycats. My sales have started dropping as the BSR of the copycats gets better. Every time I submit the Amazon form where you list the copycat url, I get an email from Amazon saying I need to include a verification code they provide on the form. I re-do the form with the given verification code. Then I get a new email saying I must include a new code. I'm stuck in a form/verification cycle I can't seem to break. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you!!!

I came up with my own saying. I checked Redbubble and Google and no one else used the same words. So my words are original,they are a play on words that are trending. I added a minimal amount of artwork. I know someone will use my words and maybe add a better artwork.

Yes that is the risk but if your design is good enough and people start to buy it you will be ahead with sales before people copy you.
