I watch your videos several times 1) so it sticks…even though most info may be the same, there is info you add as time changes and print on demand sites add or take away features. On your list if possible one day if you haven’t already on how to created multiple designs then for each design create multiple mock-ups for all your designs at one time. I have tried a Canva process using an excel spreadsheet, but it is not user friendly and it ends up taking more time in the long run. If there is a faster process to do this? that would be great! Thanks for info!

For the three print-on-demand sites that you mentioned in this video what is the average split for a t-shirt? Or which one pays the most?
@GregGottfried2 ай бұрын
Great question! Teepublic is the lowest with automated pricing. Typically only a couple dollars per sale, but nice that they manage pricing and sales. RedBubble and Amazon are custom set pricing so you can set your margin. Typically $5 is average on a $19.99 shirt sale 👍 During trends or holidays you can up that to $23.99 for the shirts selling well and get almost $10 profit per sale.

Great question! The short answer is, as many as you can.. I know that’s not super helpful but I would recommend at least 100 and then you can upload those same designs to all 3 websites (to give you 300 live listings). If you can make them on trends or seasonal events in the beginning you will get the fastest sales 👍
@jp2227-l7g2 ай бұрын
Hi Greg I have a question. Great channel👍 … think I’ve grasped the basic concept. Couple of quick questions… When you find a “topic” with a competition score of let’s say an A or a B would you still dig down to look for sub niches within that overall topic or would you just run with the overall topic? Also, I’ve found a couple of niche ideas when I’ve been following the process … only to find that there are very few (sometimes none at all) or design templates on placeit that cover that niche / or designs that are unsuitable. Is there a blank template on placeit we could use to just create shirt designs with just slogans rather than images … seems a shame to have to abandon a promising niche idea purely on the basis that there is no suitable image that can be used … if the niche is under served even a text only design would be better than walking away from the niche and looking for something else wouldn't it?

What would you recommend for a good way to advertise a seller's brand- printed on a T-shirt, for example - that is being sold on multiple platforms? Like Nike has the swoosh & everyone knows what that symbol represents. If a seller wants to direct potential buyers to their stores using the product as a walking billboard, how what you recommend doing that?

The title of the video is based on "start print on demand without a following", however, following your video and creating an account on Teepublic I was on "Pending" status before changed to "Apprentice" (one of two Account types). This type of account clearly notes "NOT eligible for visibility in on-site search" (the NOT is capitalised by Teepublic, not me). Doing some research, it is noted designs in Apprentice accounts need to be marketed on social media or other means. I also found that a few months ago many Teepublic users were downgraded to Apprentice Accounts (even users with over 1,000 designs) - their products no longer appearing Teepublic search results and lost sales because of this. Can you help me understand if I missed a step or how my designs and products can be found on Teepublic without a following?

Im starting to see a trend that every “tool” available to be successful costs $$ .. would you say sales are almost guaranteed using these tactics to the tee Or will it still be an up in the air sales results?
@GregGottfried10 күн бұрын
I actually agree with this, but I think it's because in order to succeed you need to have something 'unique' that everyone else doesn't have. Paid tools are often the way to achieve this because 99% of other people won't pay for a tool, so it gives you an advantage.
@eze357210 күн бұрын

So the obvious question I'd like to ask is what percentages do redbubble teepublic and Amazon merch take off the top?
@GregGottfried2 ай бұрын
Great question. Generally speaking, shirts cost about $10 to get printed and shipped. That varies a bit but it gives a good starting point. With a shirt priced at $19.99 we get a profit of about $5. So generally, I'd say they split the profit with us pretty close to evenly. Given that they do all the marketing, customer service, printing, and shipping, it's a good deal for us 👍 If you use websites like Printful, Printify, or Gelato, you can make the full $10 profit yourself, but the biggest cost to factor in is advertising. The better you get at paid ads, the higher you can keep your profit, but for most people, especially those just starting out, it costs more than $10 in paid ads to get a single shirt sale. I hope that all makes sense and helps!
