@@ComingHometoAutism Great video ! Out of curiousity, if you dont mind, how much did the vacation cost? Looks like you guys went first class flights and the hotel was a 5 star resort. I think that helps a lot. We are planning on going to Mexico and trying to get a vacation but within a budget as we are not rich and lost a lot of money recently in some bad investments.

Hey there, oh gosh I wish we could go first class no we went on a package holiday with British airways all inclusive hotel flights food included. It was very very reasonable. Flights were hard on night flight because we were crammed in to economy seats which hardly went back and dylan wanted to lie down and sleep 😴 x

Fab video. My son is 5 be 6 in July. His twin sister has ashd and my son is autistic and he none verbal. I want to go abroad as my childhood was all amazing holidays to Spain, Greece and Cyprus. Any tips on flying with young kids. We worry about flying the taking off, sitting on plane for 2.5/3/hours and what do you do in terms if they get upset or worse a melt down on a plane where you can't get off? We try to prep him but be honest we not sure on his understanding some days he does and other days he not with it I mean yes iPad would be the must and taking own food as he rarely eats food. Any thoughts

I think as long as you are prepared and close by them so hug them ear defenders blanket over the head as well . They might enjoy the sensation of the plane as well. X

Just had to watch it properly and just like watching my Harrison wow and tgt chopstick thing Harrison totally struggles with holding pencils pens doing work and had a Chinese at families with chopsticks and he was using them better than me I was blown away . I remember going away one year he would only wear the hotel logo tshirt ! they had no more , so we had to wash it every night o had packed 10 tshirts of the almost same 😂 I wouldn’t have it any other way they just so special I get used to doing all the attention to detail stuff 💕💕

Seeing your videos, I noticed one thing how you keep it together and don’t push Dylan when he does not want to answer, that’s such a great reminder, thanks I definitely am learning a lot from your videos on autism parenting. Love Dylan’s commentary in the video, oh I love the cake smash on Lucas 😍 May I know if Dylan goes to general Ed with an aide or special school? I have 7 year old on spectrum who is very much similar to Dylan, hence asking.

Hi Tara, Could I ask what do you do regarding Dylan’s special GF diet when you are out on vacation specially in an all inclusive resort? We will be heading to Cancun this summer and will also be in an all inclusive which is exciting but I’m frightened to break his diet. Any tips regarding this subject will really help 😊

Hi Guys My son has recently been diagnosed with Autism, he is on a level 2 diagnosis, I know everyone is different but I’m trying to understand what this level of diagnosis means for my son, how he will be as he gets older , What level is Dylan? My son is still basically non verbal has a few words but no sentences, currently going to OT and speech therapy been doing early intervention for the past 2 and a half years , any advice you could give would be greatly appreciated

Hey there we actually took them out a week early because of this very reason it’s too busy for him and it’s impossible to travel when so busy. Most schools are really understanding when you explain this too them x
