If you take out the campaign and treat it as a spinoff it's not that bad of a game, the constant chaotic action is something I've always been in to and the AI for skirmish isn't badly scripted, It's just EA butchered the entire C&C Tiberium story with the campaign. My biggest gripe is that Kane is apparently an extra terrestrial that was trapped on Earth for thousands of years, rather than being an anomalous human... Yeah, I choose not to see it that way.

For the first three games in the series, I used to think that this game had one of the most elaborate and exhaustive storylines, in the sense that you would be left with no more question marks than the amount you were supposed to have. Even tiberium itself was explained with intense scientific detail. I foolishly believed that this extremely satisfying storyline was going to be concluded by an equally well-thought, climactic conclusion. Then I bought the game, and saw I was badly mistaken.

The point is that it doesn't matter what you choose, no matter what you do, Kane lives and wins. As he should. But the game and story ought to have been made a whole lot better.

Was it not implied in previous games (especially Renegade) that Kane was in fact Cain, son of Adam and Eve who was cursed to live on Terra forever after killing his brother Abel?

It was implied in Red Alert 1 Soviet ending as well. When Nadia says "And Cain went out from the presence of the Lord and took up residence in the land of Nod." Adding to that, the Scrin had knowledge of Kane in their database as well. A lot of cool things could have been done with that, maybe revealing that the early events of the Bible actually took place on a different planet or something. Unfortunately, CNC4 didn't give the devs much to work with. It wasn't supposed to be a main game to begin with but a multiplayer arena game like League of Legends.

@@GoldKingsMan It's possible, but I'm really not so sure about that. Kane doesn't exactly explain himself after capping Nadia in the back. Seth from Tib Dawn made a Biblical reference of sorts as well. "From God to Cain (Kane) to Seth." So he might have known as well, but Kane shot Seth for a completely different reason. I think it's possible Kane just didn't see any more use for Nadia after the Soviets won the war.

@@madsword19 lucky you. I played it and I think what put off the fans was how mediocre of an experience the game was overall. It would have been tolerated more if it was an ambitious project gone wrong, but it's blatant from square one that production values were abysmal, art direction was totally uninspired and bland and overall design was so low-effort and bland it seemed like a game released before TW. In fact, the only reason I looked for this video was that I remembered how corny the "Kane' gone? Yeah, right" epilogue scene was.

You get to this ending and it truly makes you think two things... 1. Over 17 years of fans commanding through and loyally following this epic storyline. 2. (In the universe) Over 6 decades of war. (1995 to 2062 = 67 years of fighting) AND THIS IS IT?????? THIS IS THE "ENDING TO SUCH A GREAT FRANCHISE? Unbelievable. What a slap in the face to all the command and conquer fans. Screw you, EA! A very young version of him smooches that actress in Tiberium Dawn to portray civilian TV "At least your mother tipped well!" He's also McNeil's brother Jake who betrays GDI to Nod in Tiberian Sun in the Nod campaign and gets killed in the GDI campaign Bonus: he appears in Tiberium Wars as a Nod reporter who gets Ion Cannon'd and in Kane's Wrath as a GDI commander who brags about "This is Steel Talon territory!" in one of the in game FMVs and when you wreck the Tiberium Lab in Australia: "No sir, no Nod presence detected, it's looking like an acciden- AGH"

I played C&C 1 as the first RTS I ever played when I was little, then Tiberian sun/firestorm, Red alert 2, Yuri's revenge, C&C 3 TW/KW and Red alert 3 and Personally I do like each of them. Tiberian sun did have a lot of really awesome ideas and units and maps and such but it did have a TON of flaws, but I would like to see a C&C that brings that much diversity and the scale back. There are a few story errors in C&C 3 but I say it is still a great game. C&C 4 is where the series died.

I find it very disturbing that not only GDI doesn't win in this game, but it is also portrayed as an evil force with colonel James being the only honest person fighting for the cause, killed, with her superiors having a secret deal with Kane. What is the morale behind this? That everything is relative(including higher values) and you should not be too attached to any side? This is BS to me, but thats what this game propagates in the end. And yes, Kane lied about GDI killing commander's wife, as the Orca bomber was long out of service by C&C4 and, most importantly, the civilian transport was destroyed by the very same missile type Nod used in the last GDI mission to overwhelm deployed crawler base near the scrin tower.

I don't mind Kane being an superior alien-being who came to Earth few thousand years ago and his ultimate goal being leaving Earth. I can understand that all his works, wars and research were to find a way to study Tiberium, obtain Tacitus, translate it, and trick Scrin into coming to Earth. Introducing Scrin race was a great addition to C&C series. EA should've done a better job refining gameplay and storytelling in C&C4. They didn't. They fucked it up. All we have now is this pile of crap.

Not considering gameplay of C&C4, i think this is a suitable ending to a great series. It leaves the mystic of Kane intact, it portrays the antagonist side of GDI and it culminates in both factions completing their goals. Everything must come to an end, and i personally thank EA for not spoiling the mystic surrounding Kane. It would completely ruin the character.

Command & Conquer 4 is no doubt a pretty big shame in an otherwise great series of RTS games, but i actually like the fact that the last scenes are surfing TV channels, just like how the first C&C's intro was started. Even the "At least your mother tipped well!" guy appears, which is a nice touch too.

anyway this was supposed to be an ONLY online game called C&C arena as accordingly Tiberian Twilight was actually originally intended to be an online game for Asian programming market. The game was later forced to become the conclusion of the Command & Conquer: Tiberian series in an effort to boost sales.

For all we know Kane figured out how to ascend to a higher plane of existence using the power from the TCN funneled into the portal. Again all this is speculation.
