Wow! Lots of interesting stuff. Never thought about the altitude difference between jammer and strike a/c much less the angles between the radar and jammer vs radar and strike a/c.

Great info,is there a max range for the jammers,the closer the better,but from what distance will your jammer starting to have effect?

Thanks for this video, very helpful. BTW, I think a 25% reduction of a 50% hit probability is -25% of 50%, so ends up with 38.5% hit probability?

How does OECM do against bearing launches? Obviously I am assuming they don’t leave course.

I know chaff clouds have been used but I do wonder at the advisability of flying ones jets through clouds of FOD.

You seem very knowledgeable about these topics. Do you have a career related to the military in some sense? If not, what resources would you recommend for this stuff?

I'm in process of writing a detailed strategy guide, but the CMANO forums at matrix games is solid as is books like fleet command and coastal combat. I like to mess with the scenario editor and just experiment.

There is some spreadsheet from the devs which shows how effective each jammer is...

Maybe you explained it earlier but I'm confused by your statement at 33:15 that "if you are above the people you are trying to jam, it's not going to anything." Aren't I always above surface radars and SAM sites?
@PGatcomb4 жыл бұрын
So basically the OECM is line of sight with the target radar. If you have a high altitude jammer and your incoming strike is at low altitude, the enemy radar will see "under" the jamming and notice your regular strike force. The trick there is putting the jammer lower so that it can hit the enemy radar at all times during ingress.
@Tertius_Oculus4 жыл бұрын
@@PGatcomb Like a radar cone. In this case you want to stay inside between the jammer and the target via "line of sight".

I apologize, but I have difficulty hearing and did not catch the name of the webpage where I can find more detailed information on the sensors. Would you or any of the kind people in here mind repeating it for me, please?

Is this a video game of a war department training simulation. Too much to do just t o play a RTS game . Ill take my chances and stay with Command & Conquer. Soon to have a simple but great Naval graphic Game
@DJsharp7073 жыл бұрын
its not a "RTS" ((game)). its a military operation simulator.
@jjmarr71303 жыл бұрын
@@DJsharp707 unironically yes. They sell an improved version of this to the DoD and many private companies for simulation purposes.
@wntu4 Жыл бұрын
Yes, professionals in the defense field have been known to use this and there is a 'pro' version but that's still the base game with add ons like stat analysis and fully editable database.
