The 36th Commandant of the Marine Corps, General Joseph F. Dunford, and the 18th Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps Ronald L. Green visited Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan, during their first Asia-Pacific Region tour. Both senior leaders sat down with AFN Iwakuni to answer several questions from the field.

@ Les Bovee, the Sgt isn't being disrespectful, he's trying not to direct a question to just the Commandant or the SMMC, he's leaving it open to either of them to answer, by adding Sir or Sgt Maj to the end of the question its asking that specific person to answer it not both

Being an African American it's been noticeable that yes quite a few of the Sgt Majors of the Marine Corps has been African, there's three 3-Star African American Marine General Officers who both have lead 1st Mar Div & 3rd Mar Div who will most likely be on track to become the first African American Commandant. But yes your observation was correct. FYI Gen. Dunsford has been selected by the POTUS to be the Chairman of the JCS and there the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces

It'd be funny if they stopped allowing tattoos. I have a USMC tattoo and a cross. Tattoos can show belonging, faith etc.

Who cares if a service member has a tatoo or not or how many... All we care about is that he/she can kill the person trying to harm us... A bullet going down range does not care what the person has on their skin the only thing that matters is that the bullet is fired properly and hits on target
