February 2024 the US Marine Corps became the first branch to accomplish a complete and passing audit of their entire inventory and assets. This was done in two years with a third party independent accounting team under the supervision of the DOD Inspector General. $46.3 billion in assets. This is a huge accomplishment and they will improve on it each year, setting the example not just for the other branches but also the US Government as a whole. It makes me want to re-up!

A pleasure meeting you at 8th and I General. After my time as an Infantry Marine, I spend the rest of my career in designing, creating and integrating technology in business and I agree with you 100% that this integrating is imperative with Marines on the ground. Let me just throw this out there. Training Marines to keep up with tech, is proper and important. Promoting a private to E7 right out of boot camp is not the MarineCorps way, you know what I’m talking about. We has GS workers for a reason if that’s your motivation. To hand out rank as though it means nothing undermines our entire rank structure.

Eric Smith had a massive heart attack, nearly died, and was nowhere to be seen for 6 months while on Active Duty. Any other Marine with even half the time in service would have immediately been processed for medical separation/retirement. Not Smith though. He's Berger's lab dog, and the only one who will continue the divestment of the Marine Corps. Never before have literally hundreds of career Marines, with far more combat & force design experience, come out with real criticism of the dangerous and ill-conceived scheme that is "Force Design 2030". But the brain-trust that was Gen. Berger's regime is intent on destroying the Marine Corps while pimping the service out the the highest paying military arms corporations. It's no coincidence that every one of these Generals have extensive stock portfolios. And they ALL serve on the board of directors and in other high-level positions of these corporations shortly after they retire. In the end, the Marines WILL pay for this folly with blood... while both Berger's and Smith's offspring live in riches.
