Very nice. Disappointed there was no Athreos or Pharika, but this wasn't a bad selection. Major props to Seth for winning with an Against the Odds theme. I wanna see @JakeStiles play a Jenara turbofog deck for Alara shard week. Also Tomer and friends, please don't play Sharuum artifacts since it has been beaten to death like a dead horse. P.S. : I wonder if it's a coincidence that I asked for Alara shards last week and it's happening? XD Maybe if I recommend original Commander set commanders like Tariel and Zedruu and Khans wedges like Narset and Yasova those will happen too? :D
@tomerabramovici329 жыл бұрын
+AzizidarkReborn We always discuss feedback and suggestions when deciding what theme to play next, so if you brought up Alara last time it's likely to have been an influence for it! Also don't worry, Sharuum doesn't show up next week.

Why do you guys always tap out before passing the turn?
@martypunker9 жыл бұрын
It's so MtGO doesn't ask them to pass priority. It speeds it up, basically.

45 min in why didnt he play the hellkite charger?!
@twarnold148 жыл бұрын
+Anon ymous Unless I'm missing something, or unless the Seth had a response, I think he could have played the charger, brought Xenagos online, swung with it in the air double power and the forestwalker, and use his enchantment to get a second attack. That would be 20 damage in the air alone. Not saying he would have had defenses next turn, but he was dead anyway. Might as well take someone with him.
@branofilipovic96088 жыл бұрын
When Seth was asking whether you could win, I think you could. Xenagos boost your creature at the beginning of each combat step right ? So you attack with 4/3 forestwalk, pay 5 for assault, attack with 8/7 forest walk, pay 5 for assault and attack with 16/15 forest walk = 28 unblockable dmg if he didnt have answer in hand (although he probably had one since he was sitting on 7 cards). Or am I wrong and Xenagos boost your creature only once per round ?

all.you need for iroas is a haste.enabler and double strike for the deck. also the aggro isn't.in the 3 drops in commander. it starts at 4. hero of bladehold I think and other decent ,4 drops. it's how my iroas deck is set up to deal with raths is to always expect them.and never go too wide. also it doesn't matter if iroas isn't active he great as an enchantment

@MozacaAxestripe8 жыл бұрын
f6 is for each turn so you have to press it each time. f8 is a toggle you cna turn on once and then it auto does your priority every time you have no possible response. Is bugged sometimes to not work though.

+Camden Paolucci It can be MLD Damage redirection Global burn Creature aggro Board wipes I think commander is about finding unique ideas within a colour. OR: expressing that colour's best strengths and supplementing its weaknesses.
@aylipaolucci94129 жыл бұрын
Celine Turner Those are all good options, but they are all damage based, and damage based strategies don't always do very well in commander.
@okami7amaterasu9 жыл бұрын
Really? MLD and board wipes are damage based now?
@aylipaolucci94129 жыл бұрын
+Celine Turner I mean an overall strategy of the deck, such as how it wins: it's overall goal. I'm assuming MLD is mass land destruction? That is a viable strategy that I missed.

Jake could have won if he read the other part of his general, since Iroas makes his creatures receive no damage during combat, so attacking with all of them was a freebie, forcing chumps which could have foiled the biovisionary plan and could have pumped with the stronghold to eke out some more damage. It's sad that he didn't win, I was cheering for the Boros deck.
