Kenrith, the Returned King vs. Atraxa, Praetor's Voice vs. Prossh, Skyraider of Kher vs. Edric, Spymaster of Trest
This video is brought to you by Card Kingdom. You can pick up some cards and support the show at www.cardkingdo...
If I had to rank the average power level of the decks on this show on a scale from 1 to 10, I'd put our decks at around a 5, with our jankier episodes being around 3 and our more "normal" episodes being around 7. But for this episode, we're dialing it up to 8 and 9 with Competitive Commander, aka CEDH! There is only one goal in mind today: to win! We are building the most competitive versions of our favorite decks and ignoring our usual house bans like Mana Crypt -- in fact, you'll probably see a Crypt in each of our lists! Here's what we've got:
Andrew sticks to his brand, looking to Jund 'Em Out with a fast-paced Food Chain deck led by Prossh, Skyraider of Kher
Crim decided to bring the most fair deck to this broken week, running a Superfriends deck led by Atraxa, Praetors' Voice
Seth can't get enough of Kenrith -- maybe it's an affinity to that sick beard -- playing a Demonic Consultation list led by Kenrith, the Returned King
Tomer finally gets to unleash his all-time favorite commander at full power! Behold, Edric, Spymaster of Trest
We rarely do a CEDH week, so to make it up to you all this video is extra long! Enjoy!

Best part of cEDH this time around is how everyone, for the most part, knows how their decks work. Watching them before, it was clear everyone needed a guide or primer to know. This time around, I'm glad Tomer played a High-Power Edric, Seth played Control/Combo, Andrew played Food-Chain Combo, and Crim played... Best part of this was watching 3-games.

Just now watching this game and I agree. Everyone else had just as much Mana ways to block, and way more cards in hand. At that point Tomer wasn't even relatively close to the top threat and Seth two for 1'd himself to completely shut down the player furthest behind. :/

Kenrith is considered about a 9/10 in terms of cEDH power. That is basically the highest power since the only ones that people consider almost overpowered are Thrasios and Tymna (Thrasios has similar win con to Kenrith except it doesn't required colored mana and it gets all of your lands onto the battlefield)

Well I can understand that you guys are not very used to playing cEDH, but in the minute 47:58, Andrew had basically 6 mana, so you would tap mana crypt + swamp to play Diabolic Intent, get Food Chain, Play Food chain, you'll have 1 mana floating, then you keep sac'ing creatures with the food chain until you reach 4 mana, then cast Eternal Witness, recover Pyroblast (in case of counters), sac Witness, get recruiter, search Squee the inmmortal, food chain him to infinite, cast a huge Ballista, and kill everyone.

Actually, Prossh is currently rated as a tier 2 meta cEDH legendary. Was tier 1 for a long time, up until Tazri started using Food Chain combo, and even then Prossh is insanely consistent with the correct shell. I turn 3 tables all the time and I consider my list casual, the only issue is interrupting the combo chain. Force and Pact are annoying, but easily dealt with when you have Veil of Summer and the red Blast cycle. Not to mention the list runs so many tutors that you're basically guaranteed to hit your pieces. The only thing slowing it down in multiplayer is needing a payoff card that wipes everyone out besides Prossh himself- and in 1v1 Prossh is the payoff. Definitely a meta relevant list, at least more so than every other list in this video.
@hugodiazroa

@@09Dragonite I haven't seen the Seth's kenrith list in detail, but a 100% kenrith imho wacks prossh ass. Colors are really important that can only be compensated if u have a busted commander (yisan, urza, jhoira, etc...). Also kenrith has both an infinite blue mana outlet and a way of making infinite mana with his last ability + (dockside extortionist/palinchron) + sac outlet
@Jonathan-qk5ed
@Jonathan-qk5ed 5 жыл бұрын
@@09Dragonite If you are consistently turn 3ing people with a Food Chain Prossh deck then you're just curb stomping since any other true cedh deck would easily bring that sort of list down to a 25% or less win rate. Putting up the arguement that Prossh can be insanely consistent doesn't mean anything tbh, since Tazri, First Sliver, or WUBRG Niv all have access to more tutors along with not needing to dedicate as many slots in their decks to outlets which also leads to having more interaction with your opponents to disrupt them.
