@STUDENT Richard Sakurai-Kearns Its not though, he even said it multiple times. His deck wants to slow down the game, ie: Trinisphere. It doesnt prevent you from doing things, it just prevents Tomer, Richard and Seth from going insanely fast which seems fair to me Edit: I do agree with you, if I was playing I'd kill Vince or whoever I saw as the biggest threat right off the bat. I think the point everyone supporting Vince is trying to make is that its really annoying that no matter what Vince plays. And while I agree with you on threat assessment, but if I was making content I wouldn't play like that. I would address Vince's board based on what he's doing, not on the off chance he might have something. Having this feud and complaining all week every week just gets so old
@DiviNazuphus6 жыл бұрын
@STUDENT Richard Sakurai-Kearns Thats no different from having 10 counter spells and just countering anything remotely powerful that you play, and Tomer had a tendency to hear a card from Vince, immediately assume he will have it in his opening hand and then just attack vince over and over despite the fact he is nowhere near the biggest threat on the board. He tunnel visions, which is why vince has such a problem, Tomer doesnt care about the current board state, He hears stacks and just attacks.

Vince, with the new rules update to cards that effect your opponent such as path to exile and Tabernacle it is now your opponents responsibility to remind you about them in competitive play. As someone who likes playing stax and playing against stax, I appreciate Vince being part of these games. Also his list this week could barely be considered stax. UG is a weird color-pair for it, so it makes a little sense, but he definitely could have been a lot meaner. Looking at the decklists even, it seems like Vince had objectively the worst deck of the 4. There was definitely a good point at the end there about attacking the stax player purely because of the stigma of it while the other decks at the table are just creating an unanswerable boardstate.

Yeah, that's why Richard wins a lot. He knows when to keep his mouth shut about all the mean things his deck is capable of while also not directly lying about it. He tried to go full on stacks mode and it didn't work out - true. He didn't put Choke in his deck - true. Winter Orb? Just don't mention it (and don't play it when it's not actually good, as not to draw too much hate). But while I'm at it, I also want to commend on Seth. It's come a long way since "oh, I can win this turn - oh, I tomered, I can win next turn - oh, I'm dead". The turn where shroud fizzled your combo could have had everybody on full alarm mode if not for your chilled reaction. Sure, people knew you tried something and it didn't work, but that could be anything. With recard to Edric itself, I am pleasantly surprised. As someone who does not enjoy drawing cards (that don't do anything except being 1/1s for 1 and draw more cards), I settled myself for a rather boring week, but found it quite enjoyable. All the banter on hate on Vince has settled into a intensity where it's actually funny again, and also he's a way more graceful target than Tomer. Keep up the great work! And please, please make "I tomered" a thing.
