Every deck got to go off, nobody was too oppressive, this is the kind of game we love to see. Would like liked to see a bit more from the Belbe deck, but Obeka going off made up for it.

I similarly would have liked to see more from the Belbe deck :) The early hate from JLK into having to discard almost my entire hand from the Plague Crafter really set me back. Still a really fun game though!

@@sasukeds Ok but you do see that JLK was forced into directing everything he could into removing Murph as he dies to the sanctum trigger if he fails to do so. It was excellent use of the Lich triggers by Ashlen to put him in that spot and direct his attention away from her going into the late-game. Really powerful plays by all decks and a fun watch.

@@MrOHKO Yes I agree on that part! However Josh was directing his hate all game at Murph which was a huge bummer to see him targeted like that when there are other threats. Josh even mentions that Murph is his enemy early in the game, so he might have locked in on the Belbe deck.

There were several opportunities where Ladee and Ashlen had available mana or could have afforded to not play other spells to prevent Josh from drawing and that was a little frustrating

One of the coolest games I’ve ever seen on the channel. Seeing ladee, Ashlen and josh go off absurdly three turns in a row was so exciting. These are also just four really cool commanders and really well designed, leading to fun and different play patterns. Commander legends has so many interesting things to build around.

It's really a fantastic set. I'll admit I play Korvold and Yarok but the commanders from this set are powerful as well as unique and interesting unlike some of the generic goodstuff commanders we've gotten the last couple years. I've already built Neinyrral, Obeka, and in the process of building Yurlok. Might covert my Yarok lands deck into Archelos.

Mardu enchantment (or curses) has been a thing quite recently. It's great because red and black do have a lot of cool and often expensive enchantments that can ruin someones life or create absolute chaos. Seeing a commander specifically targeting that playstyle is very nice.

from my year or so playing Mardu I feel that I have to resort to enchantments to grind value as most of the time they are hard to interact against and creatures die too easily unless I am playing a dedicated aggro or aristocrat deck which I seldom do seeing Ghen gives quite an opportunity to make use of enchantments in a different way

The time Jinn was stolen it left the battlefield at the end of the term and the time JLK played it he then died to the extort trigger so the hand size never became relevant.

The cool part is that you can flavor Obeka's reanimation as her bringing back the creature THROUGH TIME! Like literally punching into time and dragging the creatures kicking and screaming into the fight, with other versions of themselves throughout the time stream via Encore.

I don’t think it works that way or else it’s be overpowered...I think only the player who’s turn it is can choose to end said turn. Very useful in Josh’s deck but only useful to the other players if someone counters a spell that the Obeka player wanted on the board or to resolve

@@nostalgiagaming2365 I traded in some good stuff just to get half the cards I needed for the deck 😂. Almost there though! I’m following a different build, but making some changes along the way. For example, I’m not running Last Chance. The price of that card practically doubled over night. Almost $100. So I took that out (for now) lol.

I had a deck built around this same concept using Inalla, Sundial of the Infinite, and a bunch of tutors, but having the end turn ability baked into the commander makes the whole thing much more elegant. Though doubling up on mages every turn is neat and Obeka could run as both the commander, or just one of the 99 for extra chances at the Sundial effect.
