Here's the rundown for Manson's last turn: Draws 1 card for turn Draws 7 cards with the first Accelerate Draws 9 cards with the second Accelerate Draws 9 cards with Boiling Blood Draws 19 cards with Valakut Awakening Draws 11 cards with Fist of Flame Fist of Flame: Creature gets +1/+0 for each card drawn this turn (Applied to all creatures because of Zada). 1+7+9+9+19+11=56 so Manson's creatures get +56/+0. Edit: HUGE thank you to Michael Ward for the correction on the Fist of Flames damage. Mason would do an additional 63 damage due to how the card works. He would draw a card and a "Target creature gets +1/+0 for each card drawn this turn" trigger would resolve and that would repeat for each copy, so each consecutive resolution of Fist of Flames is including one extra card drawn in the +1/+0 calculation. For optimal usage the Fist of Flames triggers would resolve on the Torbran and the Siege-Gang Commander first and second (because they have summoning sickness) so those two would get a +1 and +2 more power respectively. The attacking creatures would get +3 power up to +11 power as listed below. Marton Stromgald: Attacking creatures get +1/+1 for each other attacking creature besides Martin Stromgald. Manson attacked with 8 other creatures besides Marton Stromgald so all of Manson's attacking creatures besides Marton Stromgald get +8/+8. Overall Manson attacked with: Before Additional Power After Additional Power Four 1/1 Goblin tokens -> Four 65/9 Goblin Tokens +3, +4, +5, +6 from Fist of Flames triggers = One 68/9 goblin token, one 69/9 goblin token, one 70/9 goblin token, and one 71/9 goblin token A 4/4 Goblin Dark-Dwellers -> 68/12 Goblin Dark-Dwellers +7 from FoF triggers = 75/12 Goblin Dark-Dwellers A 3/3 Runaway Steamkin -> 67/11 Runaway Steamkin +8 from FoF triggers = 75/11 Runaway Steamkin A 1/1 Iron Myr -> 65/9 Iron Myr +9 from FoF triggers = 74/9 Iron Myr A 3/3 Zada, Hedron Grinder -> 67/11 Zada, Hedron Grinder +11 from FoF triggers = 78/11 Zada, Hedron Grinder (Fist of Flames has to be cast on Zada to get copied so this Fist of Flames is the last to resolve) A 1/1 Marton Stromgald -> 57/1 Marton Stromgald +10 from FoF triggers = 67/12 Marton Stromgald I'm guessing Manson would've swung 3 monsters at each opponent from left to right, meaning he would swing at: Ladee Danger for 207 damage, Jake for 221 damage, and Murph for 219 damage. BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE! Manson also had a Torbran, Thane of Red Fell on the field so each red source deals +2 damage so the NEW math is: Ladee Danger took +2 damage for each of the three red Goblin tokens so 207 + 6 = 213 total damage Jake took +2 damage for the red Goblin token, +2 damage for the Goblin Dark-Dwellers, and +2 for the Runaway Steamkin, so 221 + 6 = 227 total damage Murph took +2 for the Zada, Hedron Grinder and +2 for the Marton Stromgald, so 219 + 4 = 223 total damage Lastly, Manson used his Siege-Gang Commander to sacrifice 3 RED Goblin tokens. They dealt 2 damage each but were boosted by Torbran for an additional 2 damage, so 12 damage total to creatures. Manson dealt a WHOPPING 675 damage in one turn (12 damage to creatures and 663 to opponents) which I believe is an all time record for not just Extra Turns, but all of Game Knights Commander history. Game Knights if you see this, you should make a shirt with either a 675 on the front (where a pocket tee would go) and Manson's decklist on the back OR a shirt in the style of a bench press club shirt with Manson's 675 on it (search '300 pound bench press club shirt' to see what I mean).

I lowkey really love the idea of the "Command Zone Cast" heading up Extra Turns in general, with Jimmy and Josh still functioning as hosts for primary episodes of "The Command Zone" while still appearing on ET as guests sometimes. Letting the larger cast/team run more of the Extra Turns content will lead to a wider variety of players and decks in general (which is always fun), and allows us get to know the larger crew better. Don't get me wrong, it's great to see Jimmy and Josh, but I hope there are more episodes like this in the future! EDIT: bad grammar & spelling EDIT 2: Holy crap, Manson....

@@TheRameNinja I think everything here is right except for the fist of flames math - since each fist of flames copy draws an additional card, each consecutive resolution will give an additional +1 power boost. So assuming optimal usage, the siege-gang and torbran would get +1 and +2 power. Then the swinging creatures would get +3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11, resulting in an additional 63 collective damage.

But also, the original Fist of Flames has to target Zada in order for it to get copied, so Zada has to get the +1, while Torbran and Siege-gang get +2 and +3 so it’s still 1+4+5+6+7+8+9+10+11=61 more damage.

Spoilers for the episode! . . . . . . . . I used to own a Zada deck so I knew instantly what was about to happen, I was just holding on to the edge of my seat for that Fist in Flames and I was not disappointed.

Yeah, she really needs those pieces in order to get the time to start putting out big baddies! Whiffing with her is soo painful aswell. I don't play my Mayael anymore because even though she sounds fun on paper, the cost of the ability and the big chance of whiffing makes for some really boring turns with her.

I'm sorry to be a nuisiance, but i got interested so i did a little research: I thought that equipments only work on creatures you control. At least it says in the rulestext, that you can only attach the equipment to a creature you control. And since i wasn't sure i looked it up, but in Rule 704.smth it states, that as a state-based action, any illegally attached Artifact becomes unattached. Wich would mean that, as soon as Jake gives up control of Thangar, the Mask would get unattached. Problem is: I couldn't find a rule where the attachement of an equipment you control to a creature you don't control is declared illegal, only the act of attaching in the before mentionend way is. Is that why it works and is legal? Or is it illegal after all?

The equipment is already attached so even if someone else controls the creature, he still gets the effect since he controls the equipment

If someone steals your creature that has a Sword of Feast and Famine, the sword goes with the creature, but you can pay the equip cost on your turn to get it back on a creature you control.

i love manson, he's so funny Edit: Rules-wise, Fist of Flame checks upon resolution, so each consecutive resolving Fist of Flame target gets an additional +1 power over the previous. Say if you had 3 creatures including Zada, and your only spell is Fist of Flame, your first target gets +1/+0, the second gets +2/+0, and the third gets +3/+0. Not that it REALLY mattered that turn... xD

Typical game from the Command Zone I'd say. Nobody played any interaction. Just nothing. I enjoyed watching the Zada deck go off, but it was a total non-game otherwise. Manson wasn't the only one playing solitaire here, he was just better at it than the others. Also, to those complaining about power creep, the Zada deck had nothing to do with that because it was mostly built using (very) old cards. It was just a more explosive (or in general powerful) deck than the others at the table.

It sucks that Ladee's deck didn't do anything, makes for a boring episode when one deck does nothing. Well half the decks didn't really do anything they were built to do. They need to fix it, I wouldn't mind if the hands and first draw was set up so each deck could have a strong start. With the exception of insta-win hands with combo pieces and the mana to start it.

There is some small entertainment in watching any kind of deck really go off, but personally I prefer a bit more interaction and back and forth rather than half the episode just being one player spinning wheels, doing degenerate things, until they get round to winning. Ah well~

Agreed, I don't think it makes for a very good show when more than 25% of the game is basically one player's turn, even if it's the grand finale of the game. It's already sad when one deck underperforms compared to the others, but here nobody was really doing anything except for Tahngarth. Maybe it's just that the power levels didn't match, or just a case of plain bad luck but I felt this show was lacking compared to the other ones.

Now, I think Extra Turns is a great place to showcase some of these one-sided watch a person go off for half the episode, so long as it's once in a while and doesn't become the norm. It's funny, often I'll find myself bored if a game is just try to play a thing, removal, thing, counter, thing, removal. Yet in a game like this one I really wish there were a few more roadblocks to victory. Eh, that's life~
