Edward Food Reviews He had to stop doing them after the AK74u before he got hired by Activision to voice MW3 videos for CoD Elite. He made one more after I think a few months as sort of a return/sendoff (the Famas) and then explained that due to the contract he signed with Activision he was swamped with work and also wouldn't be able to produce MW3 weapon guides for his own channel, though he did make a really high production value video on the FN FAL called Behind the Lines. Then when MW3 was released, he made a compromise series of sorts, talking about the new weapons in MW3 and their history but not giving any in game tips or stats, as that would breach his contract. He also started a series called Time to Kill where he explored core mechanics in CoD. After popular demand he brought back his Black Ops series, (remember people at that time were all coming around to loving Black Ops and wanting to see KZbin videos on it more than MW3) for a while alternating between posting a Black Ops guide and a MW3 or TTK, until he finished those series and turned his sole focus to finishing Black Ops, unless you count the fun little videos he made on drinks called Beverage Guide Express and the usual Q+A's he did over the clips that didnt make it into his weapon guides. If I remember right, he finished the Black Ops guides just before Black Ops 2 came out.

Honestly COD started going downhill after BO. BO was the pinnacle of COD, IMO. COD4 is right behind. MW3 was eh, and BO2 was eh. I stopped playing after that.

james pawny AUG has a higher centerspeed, symmetric recoil (mostly straight up), faster ADS speed, and a smaller hip-fire spread. A slower reload is a very minor penalty, as it's still an acceptable speed.

You forgot to mention that this particular "Commando" rifle in Black Ops did not exist before the M4 because it has a detachable rail for optics, which also didn't exist in the time period

Because it's a short barrel AR type with a removable carrying handle, it's more similar to the Colt Model 933, which didn't exist during the game's story. Rails of any kind did not exist during the game's time period

Never understood why COD always removed the front sight when mounting any optics onto a weapon. Most modern weapons do have flip-up iron sights whether having a set of folding back up iron sights equipped or having them come with similar sights straight out of the factory like the FN Mk.16 or 17 (SCAR) or IWI TAR-21/X95 for example. This is especially inaccurate and not feasible with AR-15 platform weapons since the front sight post doubles as the weapon system's gas block. You can shave these down to remove the post, but it cannot be removed completely or else it would turn the weapon in to a single-shot only weapon requiring the user to manually chamber each round much like a bolt-action rifle.

Yes you're right removing the front sight off the AR-15 would disrupt the gas. However You gotta remember Black Ops was during 'Nam so most weapons of the time didn't have flip iron sights. But then again they didn't have very reliable reflex sights and scopes though. I think they remove the front sight so the reticle is not blocked by the post but it works in Battlefield.

the commando in black ops 1 doesn't make any sense because it's carrying handle is removed and back then ar-15s had non removable carrying handles i think. They should have done it with the carrying handle on and made it resemble an xm177 like what was actually in vietnam

Eric Hart Majority of the guns in the game are fictional, or prototypes. To add to the outlandish theme, they made the Commando with the flat-top rail. It also means that the aimpoint wouldn't have to be altered so much, because mounting optics on the carry handle itself would be a little uncomfortable for a lot of people.

I know XboxA don't really care but, I grew up playing COD and it was a big part of gaming. I really got into it in BO1 even though my friends started around MW2 back then. Me and my 3 best friends would play hundreds of hours of COD over the years and I would watch XboxAhoy vids for tips and just history information about guns in the game. I heard awhile back he stopped making these vids because he wanted to expand his Content which is good for him, but for me personally that literally killed my interest in his content. I've here over a decade later watching his old content even though I know he has new content because of that 1 decision. I don't see why he couldn't continue this format while making another channel. There's a COD game every 1-2 years to pump out vids for that while doing other content. Many KZbinrs have 2 or more channels.

M27 although accurate, has a lethargic time to kill. The Commando was almost always trumped by the Famas, that weapon was the most over-powered weapon in that game, with the damage of an assault rifle at the fire rate of a sub machine gun, additionally it had very predictable recoil.

The Commando appears to most closely resemble a GAU-5A/A which was either a Colt M630 or M649, rather than an M733 due to, among other things, the lack of a forward assist. The ArmaLite AR-15 was also designed by Bob Fremont & L Sullivan. It was designed in 1956, not '57.

The M27 IAR (or Infantry Assault Rifle) is a real gun that is manufactured by H&K and although it shares some external features with the M4/M16 family of rifles, it uses a different gas mechanic to fire the bullet. The M27 is based on the HK 416 and is a slightly larger variant with sustained fire being it's primary role. It was designed to replace the M246 Light Machine Gun and is currently being used by the US Military.
