In this video we explain some medium level commands for TERMINAL in LINUX, such as:
1. Know Kernel version:
* uname -sr - Know the Linux kernel
2. Equipment information
* sudo lshw - Show all information
* sudo lshw -short - Show the shortest information
3. Show information about hard drive status
* lsblk - See the disks we have
* lsblk -b - View information in bytes
* lsblk -m - information about the owner, group and mode
* lsblk -o NAME,SIZE - Show specific columns
* sudo apt install smartmontools - Install smart tool
* smartctl -a /dev/sdb - View status report in console
* smartctl -a /dev/sdb - /home/ghost/Desktop/reporte_disk.txt
4. Change TIME ZONE IN LINUX
* timedatectl - show our timezone
* timedatectl list-timezones - list the timezone
* timedatectl set-timezone America/Chihuahua - Add out timezone
5. VIEW, EDIT, CREATE AND MIX files with CAT
* cat [greater_than] filecat.txt === Create files and open them for editing - enter for new line - ctrl + d to exit
* cat file1.txt [larger] file2.txt === make a copy of file1 and replace everything in file2
* cat file1.txt [larger] file2.txt === we pass file1 to file2 while keeping the content of file2
* cat file1.txt file2.pdf [larger] newFile.pdf === concatenate multiple files and save them into one
* cat -E file.txt === mark the end of each line
* cat -n file.txt === print showing the number of rows
* tac file.txt === Show content in reverse order
