Commemoration of International Holocaust Remembrance Day 2022

Join the nationwide, virtual commemoration of International Holocaust Remembrance Day and the Liberation of Auschwitz, hosted by the members of the Australian Holocaust Museum Alliance.
This event is a reminder to Australians that it is up to the young generation to keep the light of remembrance alive by ensuring discrimination, intolerance, injustice and racial vilification cease to exist.
As a key part of this event, Holocaust survivors will participate in a moving candle lighting ceremony to ensure that the memory of the 6 million Jewish people murdered in the Holocaust, is never forgotten.
Hear moving speeches from Holocaust survivor Yvonne Engelman OAM, United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres, and Edward Santow, Human Rights Commissioner at the Australian Human Rights Commission, among many others.
