Up to 60 percent of your behavior is determined by your genes. Another large part are early childhood experiences. You will always heavily depend on external factors and most internal decisions and preferences are learned, not developed by yourself. But hey, at least you can think if a master would make your life now better or worse. Fact is, you can‘t escape who you are and how incredibly unimportant you are for the planet anyway.

You're out of touch with reality if you think relegating humanity to "hackable animals" is a good thing. An atheistic , Christ-rejecting worldview (like Yuval's) allows for the genocide and destruction of humanity. Like him and his World Economic Forum psychopath friends say "you'll own nothing and be happy". Please don't believe the lie and go along with their wicked agenda to enslave humanity through digital governance. You ARE NOT an animal. You're fearfully & wonderfully made. Made in the image of God. He loved you so much that He was willing to come in the flesh and pay for your sins, and mine, so we can all be restored from our fallen state and have the gift of eternal life. He rose from the dead the 3rd day conquering hell, death and the grave. Those that put their trust in Him, the Lord Jesus, will be saved. These "educated" monsters call us "hackable animals" and we allow it. We've allowed things to get to this point where they can literally say we're going to destroy the human body and connect you to the IoT, a type of biotechnological serfdom if you will. Our thoughts will not be our own like Nita Farahani (World Economic Forum) said. We will be in a constant state of fear and we have to be discerning because they want to sterilize humans as part of the "Sustainable Development" agenda whilst connecting us to the grid. It's insanity. They will promise us immortality through genetic upgrades & merging with machines but they have ulterior motives and they lay it plainly before us. We're now in the age of gene-based injections and lipid nanotechnology. Be careful guys and God bless in Jesus name.

The answer in my opinion lies in being extremely straight forward and to tell your individual truth in every possible instance even when it isn't pleasant. Alexander of the gulag archipelago discusses the men who were honest were the first to go (As was the case for his cell mate that had a book about the stars and desire to learn about astrology) however I believe if we can emerge from beyond the shadow of our "societal self" (The individual costume some put on in the public sphere so they aren't pilloried for whatever beliefs they may actually hold) Then it becomes nearly useless to monitor anyone in the first place as they are already radically honest.

This video has so little fate in human thought that it believes one mind can be read by stadistics, by pulse or by having a record of your reactions. Yeah, of course you can have data and maybe an unlimited source of it. But that isn´t a clear representation of an idea. Ideas are more than images and reactions and have more complexity than just a record of spare data. People less say machines can know exactly what you are thinking because you can´t know it either. You are always tricking yourself, believing, disapproving, changing, growing. There are more things in heaven and earth than you have dreamt of in your philosophy.

It's just that machines now are catching up to learn what humans have always done only with most of us these processes take more or less place in the subconcious mind. Like you say it will never be pin point accurate. Science figured out that the heart is formed first and that it gives off signals to the brain. Human's heart is in turn and it has no stability. Every moment abundant changes happen in the heart. Theres no way...

As long as you still have an online presence, they may not know exactly what ideas you hold, but they can use every comment you post online, even the one you just posted here, your emails, text messages, website choices, videos watched, pictures you view, or pictures you press like on, profile pictures chosen, memes shared, communities you participate in, even where your mouse hovers on a computer screen, and a million other data points. All to combine them together, find correlations and patterns with other people's data points to build a psychological profile on you that fits well enough to accurately make educated guesses as to the likely ideas that you hold. It doesn't need to read your mind, it just needs to be able to predict it with high likelihood. It doesn't need a clear representation of all your ideas. Just a high enough quality representation for the ideas they care about. Right now it's which product you'll buy, very soon it will be what political views you have. This isn't a binary thing. It's a gradient. It's not "can it do it or not?" it's "how well can it do it?" If you follow technology in any capacity, we're fast approaching "very well".

Dear Yuval, I have been thinking about this problem and it leads me to this notion. If you accept the fact that all kinds of problems like dictatorship, totalitarianism and etc. come from our mental health problem, the solution would be the development of neuroscience and psychology science that it enable us to tackle these issues, but the vital point is that we have to enhance these sciences before the advancement of other technologies like AI and Biotechnology. In this way, optimistically one could witness a medicine that cures the dictatorship disease, as an example, but unfortunately, the corporations and companies are more enthusiastic to implement AI and Biotechnology in their policies, and because of this governments should allocate more budget on the flourishing of mental health science.

Mr. Harari, please can you explain what represent sentence "YOU", from title? Shouldn`t it "WE" instead be more appropriate? What differs you from your students, or how is possible that one intelectual and teacher can mistake in such way?
