Because how can a human not pursue happiness? It's within our nature to do so. Everything we do has happiness as its goal, but unfortunately happiness is not a goal that can be reached. So life is just a never ending hunt for happiness, as it's always been for everyone.

@@myfairlady343 of course you can experience some pleasures in life, but they are not happiness, or, if you will, they're just short-term happiness. So after a short while, we're still on the hunt. brother, I am an engineer too. Please, do not feel disheartened. Happiness comes through the fact that no matter what is happening you always have a choice. Being an engineer might have been bestowed upon you but in every moment you have a choice to get out of it. Of course, you have to face the consequences of your choices but it all ends in death, no matter what you do the end state cannot be changed. Even when you die fearing hell, you won't be there to experience it, at least not as you. So how to be happy? Just change your perspective.... When you feel no stimulation, like when you are meditating......there is a type of meditation where you sit and try to feel everything, the frustration, sadness, happiness....whatever you are feeling during meditation you explore that feeling till you exhaust all the feelings to feel and you cannot feel anything further. After getting up from this kind of meditation you will welcome all sorts of experiences.... even pain......to some extent. Because the absence of any feeling is worse than bad feelings. This would not mean death is bad.....because if there is no one to feel there wouldn't be anyone to feel the absence of feeling.

While the video highlights the dangers of consumer society and the endless pursuit of material possessions as a source of happiness, it's important to note that happiness isn't solely defined by these things. In fact, the search for meaning in life, authentic human connections, practicing gratitude, and personal fulfillment all play a key role in our well-being. Happiness is not just about accumulating objects or getting likes on social media, but rather about finding a balance between inner satisfaction and harmony with ourselves and others. The video encourages us to reflect on our priorities, but it’s essential to remember that happiness can also be found in simple moments, far from material excess.

My great teacher told me this a long time ago. Fine jewels. Fine clothes and fine features. None of these things give you happiness in life. They're just distractions along the way. True happiness comes from the little things in life. It comes from the things people dont pay attention to. Thats why we call them regrets after they are gone.
@nafiurrahmankhadem71783 жыл бұрын
Happiness is what someone defines it to be and what his/her mind is attracted to and there are people whose minds are attracted more to fine clothes than those little things in life, so that's what happiness is to them. There are limited time and opportunities in life, so there are always some things we miss and so we feel unsatisfied and blame our desires. But in reality, desires and having something new to look forward to keep life from getting boring. We don't look forward to those simple things as they are not intreresting to our mind anymore. But yeah, if someone is good at fooling his mind, he can be happy with having/doing the same thing everyday.
@myrtila3 жыл бұрын
@@nafiurrahmankhadem7178 I think both your reply and the original comment have a point. Life, imo, is about setting goals and fighting for them but also enjoying the process. @nafiurrahmankhadem71783 жыл бұрын

@@nafiurrahmankhadem7178 What you call happiness. Is not true happiness. It's false happiness, a fleeting happiness. Alone we are born into this world. And quite alone we also meet our death. Even the rich man departs alone in the end. Many people want to find their purpose in life. Most want happiness but want they find instead is sorrow. People are like monkeys. Leaping from tree to tree. Never finding the fruit. Treading from life to life. Never finding happiness.

@@19Cobre the kind of instant gratification products/events depicted in this video are already the smallest things imaginable. They are literally the most basic way you could stimulate a person. I feel like calling these things “big” and describing much more emotionally complex events as“small” is feeding into the idea that there is more inherent worth in things that cost money.

@@fuzkforyouWell writing a simple sentence once is something that most people find really easy but having to rewrite that sentence hundreds of times is much harder and more tedious.
