I agree Moody would be a zero, although this is my opinion. I definitely was not feelin that commentary or the way it flows for interpretation. I have a Believers commentary on its way.

I have been using the Believers Bible Commentary for years, both Hard Copy and Electronic. While studying with a PC, I use split screen on the monitor, Bible on one side and Commentary on the other. However it is a sound practice to read an entire chapter a couple of time slowly before resorting to the Commentary, allowing the Holy Spirit to speak to you. Also it is most helpful if you use a Reference Bible and look up the verses that a verse in the Bible that you are reading from is referring to. This allows the Bible to interpret itself.

I used the Tony Evans Study Bible; the Tony Evans Bible Commentary and the Believer's Bible Commentary. I don't have the Moody's Bible Commentary because I read through it in the Bookstore and didn't care for it. Needless to say, I didn't buy it ~ lol 🤣 My Tony Evans Bible Commentary is tabbed ~ which makes it more enjoyable to use. 😊. The commentary notes in the Tony Evans Study Bible are pretty good too! Moody's Bible commentary is a great commentary. But the one using it has to have a basic intellectual capacity for theology to appreciate it. Same for Tony Evans Commentary. You lack an ability to even read a commentary properly. I pray God would give you it.
