merci beaucoup pour une autre lecon magnifique. Wow. I already knew the numbers , they are one of the foundations of learning any new language. But to have them explained and exampled like you have done here Geraldine is very helpful and fresh. The main thing i learnt watching this video was how to contract Quatre to just Quat. And also using Nine, neuf, and changing the ending to a V when used with a word starting with a H. So useful to know these things.

Merci for explaining the "six" and "huit" and "nuef" pronunciation of dropping the last letter when followed by a consonant. While in Paris, I would always get confused if they said those numbers (plus Parisians speak very fast). I thought they were using a word that I didn't recognize. It never occurred to me it was a spoken French pronunciation rule.

It's because "page" is feminine, so the front of the newspaper is "La page une" => "La une."

Géraldine will probably not be pleased with me, but rather than stressing over the inability to roll your R's, just say "Cat". The context should ensure you are understood, and you will appear more fluent (and fluid) than if you are struggling.

Pont Neuf, ce n'est pas un expression, et okay, pas le numero 9... mais c'est trés connu et il y a un neuf la bas en tout cas :D . At least I did think it was the bridge number nine until my French teacher told it actually means 'the new bridge' and it is the oldest bridge in Paris right now.

Is the pronunciation of deux and d'eux the same? Does it differ from de? It's interesting if there's no french expression involving nine, an English one is that a cat has nine lives. Thanks for the video. I have trouble with distinguishing between blond and blanc, on and en, donc tondre et tendre. Hope you'll do a video about those vowel sounds!
