Thank you to those who spoke with sense about the lettering. The system in place for all crimes is that you are charged, given a sentence by a court. If that is prison and probation, then that is the punishment. Red lettering later is further punishment. It's not how the system is supposed to work. This is bad law.

I firmly believe that the Members of the State Commision should show by a unilateral commitment to being the first to have this red letter, (or anything else), applied to their license for a short period of one year. That way they can show that they are neither afraid of the laws that they write, nor are they above the law. Thos would show unity and that they have a firm grasp that the world will be a safer place for everyone. With that said, I'll be looking for them to not be hypocritical, but I'll be looking for all State Assembly members to adhere to the laws that they write.

I hope that when those with the red letter go into a Florida bar and if they should be carded that if the patrons of the bar spred gossip about a sexual preditor is in the bat, that if an assault takes place out of a mob-mentality effect at the bar, that all of Florida's state assembly members are sued in their individual and professional capacity. It can be done, it should be done. Refusal to have foresight is not a defense.

Then Hitler discovered that he enjoyed having Jewish people wear pink triangles, and star of David patches on their clothing. Finally he had them sent to concentration camps and there they all enjoyed watching them die in the gas chambers. What's next after these Nazis make those on the registry have green license plates? Martyrdom is not something I would wish on anyone. Truthfully I don't believe Florida Republican legislators would care anyways. It will only strengthen them with their base. Ask a far-right Conservative Republican how they feel about Donald Trump being found liable for sexual assault? The definition of a hypocrite.

I was aware that the legislature was debating the red letter law , 30 years ago , but I didn’t know it was still trying to implement it ! Our legislators struck that provision down as unconstitutional to back then . Um but I criticize any one who does that RED letter designation to anyone ! There are cases where it’s not just an officer needs to look at your license. Like the bank ! That is promoting discrimination !

Let's see,.. Credit Union, Bank, Auto Insurance Company Representative, Credit Card Application, Home Depot, Home Repair Contractors. The rationale behind the Red Letter is to create a world of frightened and secluded families in the neighborhood, danger to this sexual "predator" offender as the bum gentlemen emphasized in order to make it sound pro-active, and nobody voted it out of the bill after oral argument. What a bunch of bums.

You need to take this one step further and determine which party those who voted favorably belong to? I have found that the US Constitution does not matter to Republicans as long as their personal rights are protected. Encroach on the Second Amendment to enact common-sense gun laws and see what happens? I served my country and defended ALL of the US Constitution, not just the parts that benefited me. I did not agree with professional athletes that took a knee during the national anthem but I understood they had that right. Hypocritically the leader of the Republican party has just been found liable for sexual assault.

Miami Dade county . Has a hi count of S Os because that’s the only place the S Os are allowed to live . They cannot live anywhere else ! And from my understanding , they may not leave the state ! And now you’ve all but tattooed those letters on their right hand or forehead ! Even the Bible forbids this kind of treatment ! Has satan taken over that state ?! And the license for make a wish , and Disney . This is also a feel good law . When you buy the license , you only make a one time purchase . And that’s it ! The organization gets the profits not the state . Um , but I have a suggestion . You’re not going to like it , but you know nothing until you try it . Let the offenders take care of the elderly . Give them a chance to make up for their error . They deserve that much .
