If I am not mistaken the Nano came out around 2008 or so? Although the ucontroller itself is much older. So technically bit more than 10 years.

Yeah sounds about right :-)

I saw another video about c64 emulation on an arduino, very cool. I hope this can evolve even further! The more solutions there are to use a c64 the better! Maybe a microcontroller based c64 would be really cool. There are things like the colour maximite after all!

Well, I have plans if I can get it up and running! Looking at the documentation think we're going to hit some real limitations, so colours out for starters, it cant run C64 software, has no audio, I/0 support etc etc I think its cool and worth doing, but its not going to replace a real C64 or say an FPGA or Emulation method.

@@WiFiSheep That is definitely true. I think that it would be possible maybe on a different microcontroller platform or with some added components, but I do like the concept, very cool demo and even though you didn't get it 100% working in this video, it's still impressive that you managed with what you had!

This is very interesting… something that I might be able to do…. but I guest.. I’ll wait until the next video… thanks…

Many Thanks, yeah just need to get it working properly then we might be on to something, defiantly worth trying out !

Really interested to see what this can run, I know it will be small simple programs but I wonder how far this could go

Please do an update video when you can.

I will do! But it may be a week or two, due to sponsors being off for Chinese New Year, etc

Can c64 run on an Arduino Uno?
@WiFiSheep Жыл бұрын
Yes it can as it’s the same cpu ( atmega 328p) and pinout as the Nano , but as shown it’s barely useable !

Ok .... yes .... i saw the video ...... i run all commodore machines and other retromachines with my raspberry pi0.... its good enought to run them .... arduino is too slow , the only thing is the tvout project with it ....
