@codylambert28099 жыл бұрын
cindy Queen Not all of us are evil. You and people like you do so much more harm than good. Dr. King commented often about the many white people marching with them. Marching for civil rights for black people. I'm a white man, but I actively speak out against the police violence the black community has faced. You have strayed far from King's message. You've perverted his dream into an excuse to express reverse racism. People like you are not his legacy. People that seek peace and justice are his legacy. I'd never dare tell you to get over what happened to your ancestors. I have less than no right to say that because its impossible to forget the evils they faced. But Dr. King has long been my hero, and I quote him very often. I've taken time to read his writings and listen to his speeches. "Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that." -Dr. Martin Luther King. Stop the hate.

I cried.. I don't usually cry but just everything this represents being taught at a young age, my mom told me "you won't understand this but you will face different things your other friends won't, because you are a different person with a different history" I always said we were the same.. But we aren't we are stronger, braver. Than them... I did a presentation on it, and no one could tell me different or that I had "it wrong" because at 15 I have experienced it more than a child should. I'm proud to be black I'm proud of my history

@AliciaMarie Amen sister Queen. Glory is ours & continues to be eternally. Spiritually we are collectively on another level. What Black People Worldwide had & still continue to experience & STILL Rise above it all is God's Grace & Glory in action. The More they hate us, The More Our Eternal Light Shines Brighter. Even the messengers & prophets like Jesus was hated & crucified. Heavy is the suffering but ultimately Oppressors & their descendants will pay the heaviest cost. It is already written. Its already playing out. Karma is real. Dont expect those who are not Black to ever understand exactly what waking up Black to this day statistically face more danger daily actually looks & feels like. Having that "life or death talk" with their Black child. Having to deal with systems designed to exploit non whites for benefit of Whites to this very day. Still No official Reparations mentally, physically,economically, socially & financially to eliminate the inequality, discrimination & oppression. School curriculums based on upholding white supremacy are already slowly erasing the true history of slavery, minimising the true horrors of what their white ancestors did. Little Convictions of Police Brutality cases. FBI reported law enforcement was infiltrated by KKK & other White nationalist groups. However demographic trends show White births in decline, Non Whites on the rise. The anti immigrant sentiment we are experiencing worldwide is reflection of White fragility. They are afraid. Scared that Black & Brown people are increasing, rising, demanding Justice, Equality & Freedom from oppression & discrimination. Empires rise & fall. Change is INEVITABLE. The systems based on discrimination & oppression run by White folks will come to an end. The tables will turn. It is this they fear. There will be accountability in this world & the next. It is written. In the meantime Be Strong brothers & sisters. Continue to shine with the God given blessings you been given. Walk in your Light.

Any African Americans that lived during those times, that are still here today, I agree with what they fought for... I may be white, but I agree with Martin Luther King Jr. He fought for a good cause.. And I salute what he did... The government needs to understand us whites are the same to African Americans... I love this with Common and John Legend they perform this with such passion. I watch it often. It always gives me hope. I was in my 20s when the civil rights movement was happening l watched Dr. King speech live. What times they were, sad shocking and brave people who were hosed and dogs attacking. The young people should study hard about what people and sacrifices were back then. There is so much to do still. Pray, pray, pray for wisdom , knowledge, and what your purpose is to help, and speak up when necessary, please yearn for GLORY to come for all of us.

Every time I hear this song, I remember growing up in a small town in Texas. As a child oblivious to much of what was happening across state borders, our elders kept up sheltered. While I was riding my horse, people were being trampled by them. While we kids went on hay rides, children my age were riding in paddy wagons. I am, and will always be, grateful the sacrifices made by people of various religions, colors, and regions of the country. I owe them.

This song always makes me emotional but the tears now are because of the young man who was killed by police today and he had just talked to his grandmother that he was being pulled over. My tears flowed because of so many of our children they have gunned down. My heart hurts for the forever void that will be felt by their families, loved ones, children, wives, girlfriends, boyfriends, and those of us who may not know them personally but we mourn also. Dear Lord give peace, strength, and justice. One day when the Glory comes...
