Keep up the great videos man! I've always been a Chevy guy myself. I have plenty of respect for Ford, but I always like to see what kind of problems they are having while my 3 Chevys are keeping me happy. Take it easy brother!

Thank you! Obviously this Ford was used and abused and older model. The newer ones have their own set of issues. Thanks for watching

Good video thanks for sharing. I had to replace all of the brake lines a few years ago. I do have rusting on both back panels. There is no reason any truck or car should rust out in today's world. They should use stainless steel on the body and brake and gas lines. Look at the new Ford trucks. A local body shop owner told my brother the new Ford trucks are rusting out. Thumb's up Tim. An amazing video.

Aren't the new Fords made out of aluminum? Weird.

Must have been driven regularly through the salt water on the shoreline that it sits on. My '95 F-150 after 15 years in the salt belt of SE Michigan didn't have anywhere near the amount of rust that your truck has. My buddies '97 Chevy looses parts every time he hits a pot hole due to the rust.

Plain and simple. The problem is cheap Chinese metal. All that matters is that its good enough to last until the warranty expires.

It`s not Chinese metal swerve.

good golly .... you referred to this truck as a "late model" ... the video was made in 2016 and that truck is somewhere between a 1987 and a 1990 ... making it somewhere between 26 and 29 years old at the time. " late model " ... pfffft !

Yes they are made out of Aluminum. Have you seen the new commercial? It shows a Ford and a Chevy truck. Show's them dropping Rock's then a small tool box into the beds.The rocks and the tool box put big holes and rips in the Ford bed. But not the Chevy. I fist saw it on KZbin. But now it's on TV also.
@ChamberSix.

Thomas Tommy it you go into detail you can see they tortured the ford many times in different scenes, you can look at it exposed on KZbin will show all of the flaws of the commercial

Thomas-that video was debunked by Romeo. It was fraudulant. It was fake. And no this isn`t an aluminum bed.

If you pay close attention and listen the tool box was empty when it hit the Chevy but full when it hit the ford that commercial was a scam

I would think in today's world. They would have the technology to build a truck or car that doesn't rust out. Especially the brake lines. They do have it. But they will never put it in automobile's. For fear they will last twenty years. As they should last that long. Tim thanks for responding to my post. I didn't figure out this was a joke video, lol. But that's cool.

haha, I like to make fun of Fords. I happen to own a fleet of them but IM really a Chevy guy at heart. Youre right, they plan on having them break. They don't want you driving them for fifty years and putting them out of business. Same with home appliances. They make appliances to last 5 years and then crap out. Super sad. I pay for quality whenever I can. Then I take care of my purchase to protect the value. We live in such a disposable society.

I'm assuming that's a mid to late 80's truck if your in a salt belt state your gonna have corrosion. Yes the ford undercarriage does seem to corrode a lot more I've owned a few from Michigan with similar corrosion just not as extreme as your case. Ive owned some mid to late 90's Chevys as well and it not so much the drivetrain components that I see the corrosion on its more of the frame just from my personal experience. Its a shame that these great vehicles aren't built to with stand the harsh conditions we drive in.

This one has been driven in the ocean. My assessment was a bit harsh on regards to corrosion. It's a great truck considering what has been done to it in its life.

LMAO was this meant to be a joke? xD late model from like the early 90s, well taken care off, without a single panel that hasnt been smashed in, clearly used off road, clearly no preventative maintenance has been done to it in god knows ho many decades, and still that frame looks way better than the 1 on a dodge ram van I was planning to buy which was well taken care of, but the frame was rotted out

Dude you have to think it’s an older truck and it was a mud truck you can tell and the mirror is not due to manufacture it’s because of the care that was brought to the truck I think you just don’t like fords not bringing hate but it’s old things will happen
