Tbh, the black masea glock was just a normal G17 and Freeman just had a trigger finger. Because a true full automatic mode for the glock in half life would have been overkill

That Makraov in COD Black Ops is a commerical sporting/civilian variant with that adjustable rear leaf sight. The military one has a fixed notch rear sight.

Correction on the M712 Schenllfeuer, it did in fact come with the stock to make it into a pistol carbine. The stock doubled as a holster for the M712 when out in the field.

I know about the stock, but it wasn't fitted with the Barrel and stock configuration found in the M1917 Trench Carbine configurations. The most notable example of the M712 with a stock as i can remember was the Day of Defeat one but as with real life. It wasn't made with a Longer Barrel, Handguard, and butt stock.

Most major deriatives of the C96 would be the M1917 or the Schenllfeuer. [edit] Further clarification, BF1 designates the M1917 correctly as a semi automatic pistol carbine.

Even the term "integral suppressor" is fuzzy at best. It either refers to any suppressor utilizing a gas outlet in the rifled section of the barrel, any suppressor that comes with a weapon by factory or a weapon that could be damaged or is hazardous for the shooter with out a suppressor attached.

I feel like FarCry 3 and 4’s rendition of the PKM disintegrating it’s ammo belt was created due to hardware limitations at the time, not only because having a fluid reactive ammo belt hanging out of the gun would have been near impossible in 2014, but also having a synchronized belt coming from the belt ejection port also would have been more feasible but still taxing on the then largely console player base’s performance as the PS4 was released only 3 days before FC4 was launched. Might be wrong but that’s what the reason may be for it.

Tbf some BAR variants manufactured pre-WW2 with license outside US had carry handles and even quick-change barrels so the handle in the BAR isn't totally false. I guess it depends what kind of referense photos or collections the devs had their hands on🤔🤷

Every other game fails to re-create the Auto-9 in the same way that BLOOD DRAGON did because of one specific detail: when you reload the in-game version of the Auto-9, the magazine ejector actually spits the mag out and you insert a new one only half-way in, as the gun pulls it the rest of the way.

One of my favorite things about the Honey Badger actually has nothing to do with the gun itself, but rather that Q makes a "budget" version that axes some of the expensive features of the rifle to cut about $1,000 off the price tag. They called it the Sugar Weasel, but it still MSRPs at about $2,000.

You do not need to hold the button to reload the auto 5, that button only releases the bolt when it’s empty, loading a shell in the tube while the bolt is back will automatically load the shell into the chamber. No one ever gets the auto5 right

To be fair, I have an Auto 5 (actually a Remington Model 11, but same same) and the barrel moves so quickly you don't really see it happen, at least as a shooter. Even watching it be fired, it's hard to notice. People freak out when I manually move the barrel to show them how it works. And yes, it has new springs. Coming over from gas operated shotguns, I expected it to cycle slow, but it's nearly as fast as a Remington Versa.

I don't know how common this mistake is, but it was present in the original MW2 and in Dead Island. They have pump action SPAS-12 shotguns on those games, but they don't quite work like they should. When fired, the charging handle would reciprocate, but the character would also pump the shotgun. BTW I know the SPAS-12 can switch between pump action and semi-auto operating, but I don't think that's quite how it works. Also, the Black Ops SPAS-12 was in semi auto mode, but the character would pump the shotgun to cycle the action, which correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that's also not how that works.

Schizophrenic weapon sin: a lot of videogame guns feature random painted numbers on them, could it be from the markings painted on the real guns and/or movie props used by the 3D artists to make the models?

Really depends. Many armies label weapons for organizing, maintenance purposes. That's why you often see random spray painted numbers on the stocks or receivers. As for stamped labels. It's usually a way for manufacturing purposes or for laws. (That's why you get a warning labels on civilian UMP45s)

Notice in BfV the soldier rapidly pulls and releases the trigger instead of holding it down. It was just made as a gameplay function to allow full auto for players who can’t spam…

And PKM belt insert from left to right instead of right to left because the sub-gunner doesn't like hot catridge fly straight to his face because in some South East Asia country, PKM is operate by 2 people. One is gunner, firing the weapon and another hold and press the bipod to reduce the recoiless.

I can confirm PKM they use non-disintegranting belt to reuse the belt for next rounds. I have only seen disintegranting belt on M240 MG, M249, PMT-75, etc. and other USA, NATO weapons using belt-fed. May be they are rich enough to throw the belt away after one using🐧

Actually most of the time it’s based on air soft guns, way cheaper and less paper work to buy a half decent air soft than it is to buy a full blown real firearm so it’s usually less of the fault of the people modeling the gun and more the fault of the people who made the air soft. lol

@@AspiLeo Not not really you can’t see the bolt anyway on most guns in most games and the magazine is pretty similar. Usually for details they can’t get from the airsoft they just reference images from online and cross reference it with what they have. Truth be told I wouldn’t be shocked to hear studios are 3D scanning the things instead ti start with and just doing retopology on the mesh that spits out it would be way faster and easier than making one from scratch. Either way I just figured I’d put it out there most of the time they don’t actually reference a real gun when making these. You’d think they would hire gun experts to verify stuff.

Not sure if you've already put this in a video since this is part 5, but a LOT of games don't insert/release the mag correctly on the M14 (which is present in pretty much every example shown in this video). The proper way to insert the mag is to "rock" it in much like you would an AK. That being said it is POSSIBLE to insert the mag by pushing it straight in since the guide rod, which the mag latches to on the front, is not fixed and is angled on the bottom so that you can overcome the spring pressure. The problem is that, especially when the bolt is locked back, there's a LOT of spring pressure to overcome on the front, so it's faster, easier and more reliable to rock it in. As for removing the mag, there's no pulling it straight out, period, the top of the guide rod is flat and sits inside a hole on the magazine, securing it. At that point it's not even a matter of overcoming spring pressure, just that you're mechanically unable to... Funny thing is that the first video gets the insert correct but not the removal lol

I find modern fps animations to be too shaky and "cinematic" in a very forced way, it bothers me a little. It feels like kids pretending to use a gun, I even cringe sometimes from the exaggeration of trying to make the animations look "cool" and "tactical"

In the context of the video it refers to ar15 platform rifles, and while yes, there are drop in auto sears for the platform, I don’t believe any of them are select fire. If any of the games let you switch fire mode it would have to be an actual factory fcg.

Perhaps you did it in another video, but any gun in the AR platform is far too smooth to reload in games. You need to smack that mag's ass on a tactical reload. They're not airsoft guns. I'm not an AK guy, but it pisses me off when AR guys say it's faster to reload an AR. It's really not. I can tell you from first hand experience. That being said, I'd pick an AR any day of the week over an AK. Performances in mudtests, easy to hold (gotta worry about burning your thumb with AKs), and better accuracy and recoil control.
