Thank you! I just got an XPro mini jeep. I was going fast yesterday (second time out) and heard a horrible squeal. My first thought was no grease in the axle - and I think you just proved me right. I'll do that this morning. You think I damaged it? These people REALLY need to provide better instruction. It's a great little vehicle, but if they don't tell you simple things to do, especially when they don't do typical things like lube an axle right out of the factory, they're setting us, and eventually them, up for failure. Can you provide an email address for a few questions? I don't use IG.

Great video - thank you! A few things I can add to this one: The factory setting for the air/fuel mix was way too rich from the factory setting. It would start very easily, but would run way to rich and die after warming up. Once tuned to run properly, it will be harder to start. Also, the idea setting screw is different on mine - it's on the back of the carb, much harder to reach. Apparently there's a proper fuel/air mix screw also on the stock carb, but in CA at least, it's covered over (you have to remove and drill out the cover to use).

Excellent input. I did forget to mention the mixture screw.. mine has a brass plug over it as well. I have never messed with it. Thankfully mine runs like a top and has done so for almost 750 miles

Hay Buddy, I just ordered a Coolster Mini Jeep just like yours. No One on KZbin says what size hole the original speedometer is? I ordered a 52mm/2inch gps mph one . I guess I will find out if it fits the original speedo hole? Your Mini jeep videos have been a great help for me. Do you think maybe doing more helpful videos on mini jeeps in the future?

I saw on one review that the guys fuel tank was rubbing underneath. The vibrations were causing the metal bar the tank was resting on to dig into the bottom of the tank. Might want to take a peak.

Can you link your chain tensioner purchase? ... I bought one on Amazon ($13), that looked like yours (Red with yellow roller) but mine has nuts holding the two red bracket halves together, whereas yours looks like the retaining bolts thread into the bracket. When I slip the bracket onto the frame, (same location as yours is), my roller butts up to the outside of the chain rather than over the center of the chain. (I'd need at least an inch longer roller bolt and spacer to align the center of the roller up to the center of the chain). It's 60 degrees today in N.E.Ohio so thought I'd work on the tunnel slap issue. I thought the chain tensioner was a good idea (verses the chain adjustment) because over-tightening the chain could present it's own problems (premature wear of the sprockets and cogs?) The tunnel slap isn't a big issue for me because there are plenty of other "vibrations" going on to mask it! LOL!!

Thanks so much for the quick responce, one more question, I am not mech inclined ,you put a chain tensioner on your jeep before you realized you could adjust the axiel. My jeep is a 2021 and has a tensioner built in. I still get chain slap when in 3rd gear, chain seems pretty snug. Do I need to adjust axiel tension and if so how do i know when enough? I have read thru questions asked you, have not found that one, thanks again.

Hey brother. I have the same mini jeep. I ran into an issue the other day and was hoping you could help me out! Jeep starts and runs flawlessly until I shift into 2nd gear. As soon as the shifter goes to 2nd the motor dies out like it’s either flooding or starving of fuel.... I just purchase one and after riding for about 20 minutes. I started hearing a grinding sound. I follow the noise and hear it coming from my brake pads and rotters. I took the tires off and saw that my rotters are making the noise so I’m assuming it’s just trying to seat in place 🤷🏽‍♂️

My Mini 125 seems to be stuck in neutral, no matter what gear I switch it to, it just keeps revving. It was working fun when I was using it, stopped for a few minutes then suddenly started having issues. Not sure what happened? Any advise?

I have the same jeep. It's only a few months old and the master link on the starter chain has popped off four times while cranking. It doesn't damage the chain, just the master link clip pops off. Although the chain was fine, I've replaced it twice along with a new master link and clip installed in the correct direction. I am going to install a chain without a master link and see how that works although it came with a chain with a master link from Coolster. The replacement chains I've used are the exact same length, etc. as the chain that originally came on it. I am a subscriber and saw in another video that you sold your jeep. Since you have a lot of experience with these jeeps, I was just curious if you've ever heard of this issue. Thanks.

i just put a geniune vm 22 mikuni carb on mine and no joke unless its a very steep hill or sandy hill im doing 7000 rpm and 25 mph or faster sometimes hitting near top speed 35 mph !!! and 8800-9000 rpm O_O but one question I have as im too afraid to nuetral stomp it anyone know what the redline or rev limit of these 125cc engine is with new carb i hit 9900 rpm in second gear climbing a hill and i damn near had a heart attack lol my rule of thumb with old carb going down hill and now with new carb at any time is 7500 rpm is safe as its where the rated horsepower maxes out and im doing a nice cruising 30 mph in 3rd at that rpm

Good morning..i bought a 125 jeep after watching your video for my grand son. after about 10 miles of use it started quitting on the trail.it would start up and idle right away only to quit a few 100 feet away . now it refuses to rev up and quits when trying all the time. there is lots of gas coming out the gas line up to the what you described as a pump. everything looks good.. also there is a strange sound while idling.. like a vacuum leak whistle but i can pin point the source of the sound and dont know if it was always there before and just i hadn't noticed it..any advice would be appreciated. I’m having the same problem. The Jeep will start fine and run a minute or two and shut off. I’m also getting a lot of fuel coming out of that bottom hose that comes from the carb. If I should change out my carb. Which one do I buy?

I just moved to Illinois from Cali. Debating on picking one of these jeeps up. Do you have yours registered at all? I’m finding mixed info on if there able to be registered for on road use. Check the front sprocket on the engine and make sure it's attached to the shaft. It may just be spinning

Sounds like a fuel delivery issue.. either to much or not enough... Pull the plug and see if it's wet or dry

@@Projects815 Agreed - posted above, likely air/fuel mix is too fuel rich for engine once warm, had same issue. I think this may need tuned for the seasons as well, as the outside temps change dramatically.

I have the X-Pro brand mini jeep from Amazon and lately the carb has acted super lean in terms of air to gas mixture. It’ll bog down at full throttle and it seems a bit concerning. We are looking at installing an electric fuel pump to hopefully fix the problem. Any input would be great!

I heard someone just by-passed their electric fuel pump! They just let gravity flow from tank to carb! Couldn’t hurt to try it!

never mind if you live in a really cold place like Illinois you keep should come with a cord with pinchers for red and black and just plug it in and connect it to the metal of the battery and leave it over night until you see a red and green light on the connector box while the pinchers are still connected

You will have to meter the stator and see what has failed. Tough to make a call.

Ordered the GK-6125A mini jeep with front mounted engine and should receive before Xmas 2022. Thank you for sharing so much information! I feel "armed" enough now to tackle a lot of the mini jeep common problems! If not for you, ... I'd probably not have ordered one. I'm sure my grandson (10) and granddaughter (7) will enjoy riding the mini for years to come (not to mention myself and grandma!) Can you post a link for the chain tensioner you used. I guess you replaced it I. Place of the current. Second why will my grease gun not fit the nipple on my rear axes bearings. Lastly do the covers on side the wheel cover the lug nut just snap off or are the screws functional. Ty

@@jimcrowe7768 the chain tensioner that I used was horrible.. I do not recommend it at all as far as the grease gun that's weird they should be standard fittings however they have been known to piece these together with whatever they had laying around. You should be able to find zerk fittings anywhere

I had a standard bed on my 2016 GMC sierra 1500 and it fit in-between the wheel wells just fine. Couldn't put up the tail gate up with the spare tire on the jeep so I strapped it in and drove it home from the place where i bought it. Got a lot looks with a mini jeep in the back of my truck.

Adjust the screw between the brake pedal and the master cylinder. As the fluid warms up in the calipers it makes pressure on the master cylinder which pushes out against the adjuster screw and the pedal.

My Coolster GK-6125 mini jeep has an adjustable bolt just below the gas pedal. It was wound out about halfway to the pedal. I just wound it in about halfway for a noticeable difference in acceleration….top end speed was negligible, (maybe an extra mph or two), but felt more responsive at the pedal.

@@KristiMietzner simple fix. Follow the shift linkage from shifter to the engine. Where it attaches is loose. Simply tighten it up and enjoy.

I have just purchased my mini jeep adult want to thank the fine fellow who explained all the maintenance care I Issues ,Iin which a little tip on opening the the gas valve at the half point elevated myhard start issues I was having rite off the get go. Iv now disscovered upon having pri cess auto boys assemble my jeep I became frustrating as the gear shifting into reverse was very problematic. Also my steering gives more turning degree to the right and yet turning left I'm not getting the same turning angle to the right, Could it be when it was assembled incorrectly??

Mine is the same way except mine steers more towards the left. It can be adjusted but it is tricky if you do not know what you're doing it requires adjusting the inner tie rods

What actual carb upgrade and big bore kit fits this as well as exhaust. I tried looking up everything but I am not certain. As for the muffler it's hard to choose especially to get it to have a deeper sound and not a high pitch mower sound which might be hard considering it's a four stroke. Just wondering if I can get any insight, just want to pep it up a bit more with just being able to bolt on and not have to modify much you know. Ty buddy.

I just got a mini jeep. When I gas it and then slow down, then press the gas again it the engine stutters then either i left off of the gas which makes it idles very weak or i press the gas and then turns off. Am I driving it wrong or do I need to adjust the fuel flow value and idle screw

check your rubber fuel line hose from the tank, to the little fuel filter, to the fuel pump! Mine had a 90 degree kink in the hose. I just rerouted the hose’s direction to remove the kink. Before finding the kinked hose, my engine would become deprived of fuel, slowing down or even stopping! The kink wasn’t completely shutting off the gas fl9w, but probably was slowing it down so the carburetor’s bowl wasn’t replenishing the gas fast enough! If your engine feels like it’s stuttering after pushing the pedal down a while, it may just be a kinked fuel hose? Simple fix!

No, the company seems to think it’s the ignition coil so they are sending me another one. I tried all the tricks and nothing worked. No clock when you turn the key, no spark.

It could be the battery has low voltage, the starter is becoming weak,or something internally wrong with the engine. But it's typically the battery.. these are very easy to bump start if your battery ever dies and you're out and about just put it in first gear and push it till she starts just make sure the key is on

Honestly replace the carb with a nibbi 24pe or 22. I got 24pe. Its set to third(middle) factory set needle, 35pilot 115 main jet and its a beast. Get a size 48mm air filter if getting 24 size

I put mine in gear. If you don't want it to roll forward put it in first. Put it in reverse and it will not roll backwards. There should also be a small lever attached to the brake pedal as well. Just press the brake pedal down and swing that lever over that small peg that is attached to the brake pedal.

On my Coolster GK-6125 mini jeep, there is an adjustable bolt directly under the gas pedal. Mine was wound out about halfway from the floor board to the pedal. I just wound it in about halfway and it’s much more responsive. Only increased my mph by a mile per hour or two but the engine feels happier!

I have a 125'cc mini utility jeep I bought from princess auto an I only had it for bout 6 months and I tried riding it today an it won't go all it does is start an then when I put it into first gear it will start jerking an have no power and then it will just stall out an sometimes it won't start at all can u please help me I really love this pretty much just got it an I really don't want to get rid of it please please please please reply to me

Mine was the same way. It was loosing compression. You can pull the spark plug and hold your finger in the spark plug hole and have someone crank it over. Ended up, my head gasket needed replaced. Apparently, the four bolts that hold the head on had started loosening up and the gasket had gotten worn down around one of the bolts and was missing part of the gasket around one bolt. Probably be a good idea to just check and tighten the head bolts once in a while?

One noticable item i haven't heard from anyone is the steering on these 125cc mini jeeps. Why is it that i can turn the right in a fair turning radius.However not so when im steering my mini jeep to the left. Im only getting half the turning radius to the right . How can i make this annoying problem go away Its left me embarrased on occasion. Help please would be much greatly appreciated 👍

Mine does the same thing. To correct it you need to make a inner tie rod adjustment and completely realign the front end.
