What if you don't have a foam roller, is it still advised to do static stretching before a work out? Or can we do some dynamic stretches instead to get that blood flow going?

Get one at Winners or Walmart. They are super cheap there. Don't buy foam rollers at a fitness store, you will over pay. They are really worth it. They get rid of a lot of back tension we would normally go to a massage therapist for.
