Reset until you get 4 major powers to support your independence. Burgundy will just let you go without a war. And because they let you go they do not have a PU wargoal on you. You can then get the inheritance.

Alternatively you restart maybe 3 times to get for example France and Austria and Burgundy only gets Savoy and Brittanny. Played two runs and it is not that hard to get. Even if you don't manage to escape and get wiped, your allies do all the work. 😊

Holland is one of the easiest, most straightforward starts in EU4 if you understand the game's basic mechanics.

@@htogr26 what are you on about? You start as vassal, france and england get claims on you day 1, cant expand quickly and gotta stack ae impact AND gotta colonize. İf you wanna learn the game just play muscovy and expand in every direction.

As I remember, your general must have a higher maneuver than the enemy, then you can avoid the penalty

he destroyed HRE only for the sake of low AE bc there's a debuff which gives you +200% AE if you conquer HRE provinces
