Another problem I️ have with my beardie as a beginner is that he tries to fight with the bearded dragon outside his tank (aka his reflection!) it’s kinda funny to watch him get mad at his own reflection but I️ also don’t want him to get stressed out! I️f anyone can help with this problem please let me know!

Abby Reitter it’s just common for them to do. Mine used to do it all the time as a baby try putting your tank in a well lit area and maybe think about investing in a wallpaper for the back of the tank

I just used colored paper taped on the back of the tank and on the sides and it looks good and I stops them from seeing their reflection.

Phoenix worms (aka calcium worms) are an excellent source of protein and so are silk worms. They are harder to find locally so you’ll have to order them. Horn worms are also a great treat worm that they absolutely love!! Variety is key with beardies...

Omg thank you for this video. My baby bearded dragon is probably 2-3 months old. He is still growing and shedding. We have had him in our apartment for a few months. Well once this virus started we lost our apartment. We had to move back into my parents place temporarily. He was fine in our room for awhile. He was very active and everything. Well I moved him into a different room and now he won't come out. He eats but he will only come out for a short amount of time. Then just sleeps in his cave or stays in his cave 247. I just wanted him to get use to that room because we will be getting a bigger terrarium soon. We didn't have enough space for him in our room. We have the right lighting and everything. I just need all the tips I can get. This is our first bearded dragon.

My baby bearded just ate for the first time since I got him yesterday. However, only eating greens and just like a bite or two and than goes to bask.Luckily he/she is eating greens in first place, not eating the crickets tho...Your videos are very helpful and I have been watching them right before getting this little one. Hi , Thank you for this video. Our new red bearded dragon started out fine a few days ago when he entered his new home. The day before yesterday he started to close one eye sometimes. He is not eating for two days now and he closes both eyes and is not moving around. He sits where you put him . He can open his eyes, because if I open the terrarium he briefly opens them, but closes them right away. The temperatures are all fine . Basking place around 100-105 F . Cool side about 85-90 F . I am going to the vet with him this afternoon . I hope there is not much wrong :'(

I got my first two bearded dragons yesterday, and i think when they're old enough and when i'm going to try to feed them vegetables, im going to start off by having a worm inside whatever vegetable it is at first ( worm they can actually see ) and make sure they have to eat whats around it to get to it. Then after few times of doing this i think they are going to get used to vegetables and forget about the worm so i dont have to use them. Like kids getting ice cream after finishing the dinner they didnt want.

Hello, I've had my silk back for 4 months and our relationship has only gotten worse before I used to be able to handle it and bathe it now I can't even touch it because it runs away, It lives in a 100 gallon terrarium at hip level. I do provide uvb and a proper basking spot. I hand feed mealworms supplemented with calcium and I mist it with lukewarm water that is supplemented with D3 since it rarely drinks out of its water bowl. I have no idea what I am doing wrong and it's also been shedding since I got it.

Hahaha! I still worry when Basil doesnt poop when he eats regularly. A few things I try to do when its starting to go on a week and I know I am feeding him, I give him a bath with potassium Permaganate and pet him as I bath him. I hold him more often and pet him, I try to get him to drink, I have given him prune baby food, I have placed him in his smaller travel tank overnight with his heating elements attached to it. If none of these work I contemplate taking him to a vet.

I absolutely love your videos and they’ve been such a help as I am new to owning a bearded dragon :) Im currently in need of some guidance/advice. It was recommended to me to feed my bearded dragon roaches. I normally feed him crickets but apparently the roaches are better? My beardie does love the crickets but I’ve noticed I’m at the pet store quite a lot buying crickets, and they usually don’t last that long(and are ridiculously expensive at petco) I’m not sure if I’m better off just buying crickets or roaches in bulk online, or breeding them? I’m looking for a cheaper and more convenient solution so I’m not constantly making trips to the store or spending a lot :/

I just got a 6 year old male bearded dragon today, the previous family was unable to care properly for it because it was the children's Pet, and they just didn't care anymore because the kids didn't take care of it. I got him today and I'm an avid reptilian lover, I also happen to have kids so it's a win-win for me and the children. We get to take care of this beautiful being and his in last years and I am so extremely grateful he came to us. My husband and I have always adopted senior pets, to give them the best life that they could possibly live, and yes it's hard but the connections with these pets are so important... I've never had a bearded dragon so any tips and tricks and basic knowledge I am so open to! We have the full setup with the special heating pads and lights, he was fed on a strictly vegetarian diet, I really want to introduce mealworms into his diet but as it's my first day I have no clue.. any advice I am extremely open to!

Quick fun fact a friend of mine told me to stop feeding my bearded dragon crickets because they can cause pin worms and i think she said internal parasites just letting you know I mean no harm because I love your videos and your bearded dragons look healthy ☺️

Lxx I always provide Fitz fresh veggies. Literally daily I put out a bowl full of them. Everyday and sometimes every other day I will feed her about 7-10 superworms! Since your beardie is younger, I’d recommend crickets or roaches because it’s easier for them to digest. I’d feed about 10 daily or every other day, but that’s just how I fed Fitz :)

I’ve had 2 beardies. My first one had no issue with eating when he first came home. My 2nd baby did have some issues. However after a week - 2 weeks he was eating fine. He’s only 4-5 months old and eats every single salad I make. He’s eating roughly 50 roaches a day & loves all his veggies 😍

@Voltz Thanks for your input. I made this comment over a year ago, therefore he is an adult now and does not eat as much as he used to when he was a baby. I gave him 30-50 baby (1/4 in) roaches when he was a baby because that was what was recommended to me. As I stated, he is now an adult and his diet is mostly salads. He is healthy and completely fine. Nonetheless, thanks for the input.
