Use your dominant hand for one-handed signs. The dominant hand will do the movement/the “work” in signs, for example your dominant hand would be on top for name.

I need to use my non dominant hand since breaking my dominant wrist and having limited mobility. It still is understandable. Learning to be ambidextrous when you're young is very helpful, especially as you age.
