Although you used lots of silicone as do I, I also wrap the threads of the waste with ptfe so water cannot seep down the threads. Took me ages to find this leak years ago.

basin mate seal kit the best for underneath....never had one leak yet and only cost couple of quid

Absolutely. Never used silicone on a basin; Basin Mate every single time. Instant seal with a good smear of silicone grease; last install soak tested with a full basin for 24 hours with no leak.
