To fix the rough shift. Need to reset the shift control module. The adaptive shift programming sucks. Needs to be reset every so often. **Without foot on brake** 1. Cycles ignition to Run 2. Press accelerator pedal to floor 3. Hold for 10 seconds 4. Keep foot on accelerator and push start button to cycle off 5. Let off accelerator 6. Wait 2 min then drive normal

The jerking transmission can be remedied in 2 minutes by doing the reset. The last shop charged me $75 for this easy fix. Still kicking myself over that. It's a pretty simple process. A guy on KZbin shows you how to do it. I have a 2017 Pacifica & same issue. Now I have to check my side panels for scratching as you mentioned. I'm sure you're right

I purchased a certified preowned 2017 Pacifica touring L with 55,000 miles and 1 month later the check engine light came on and they replaced the engine. I’ve been to dealership 6 times after the engine was replaced because of revving high with very little accelerating and a knocking noise, the door sliding open and also a throttle message along with the check engine light . Please excuse my run on sentences! The list of issues are ridiculous ‼️

Omg, I had the same problem with my 2017. The doors would randomly open while closing. Kwhen I brought mine in, they said it was due to the sensor needing calibrating (Prob nonsense). I also have scratches on my rear wheel well, and a few dents. I thought it was from inconsiderate ppl in the parking lots hitting my car with shopping carts. I'm going to have to pay more attention when the door opens.

I know exactly what you are talking about with the 2017 Pacifica transmission. I bought my touring L brand new, and at about 7,500 miles my never-ending nightmare began. I will say one thing, Chrysler has your back, but when they test drive it and it doesn't buck it never happened and they send you on your way. I could go on and on. It got so bad Chrysler gave me at no cost an extended warranty for up to 100K but I unloaded the car at 35,456.00 for a 2019 Pacifica. You would think I would have learned my lesson. Outside of the transmission, it's hands down the best minivan bar none, and it one thing the others don't have and that's stow-and-go. My 2019 transmission is better obviously better than the 17 but I've had issues. Until they change the transmission the problems will never go away.

I reset my transmissions adaptations in the driveway when she starts shifting funny takes about 2 mins or so in the driveway that's how I get by with that I also did a drain n fill of the fluid and want to do another to get most of it the fluid was quite filthy at 40000 its help a great deal with cold winter shifts so far

@@gorgemetz8062 you push the ignition to run without pressing the brake instead you depress the gas pedal and hold for 30 seconds I usually wait til I hear the second chime let off the gas put the car on off and leave it like this for 2 mins or so before you restart ,I waited til it turns off on its own so just listen to the radio until it goes out so dont open the door then restart the van the normal way and the shifts will be back to new for a while, my biggest issue was it shifting hard in the colder weather so that a good time to do a reset, you can youtube the procedure and save it to your phone I also did a drain n fill of the fluid @ 46000 it was like black water not like green syrup like it suppose to be I plan on doing another as it only gets about 3.5 quarts out at a time its made a difference also ripped that cah cah pan out from under the engine its makes a lot of road noise and hides problems /leaks also the biggest pain

We also have a 17. We had transmission kicks like that. They did a software update. Today the nav screen is totally black. The sliding door keeps saying no power opening, but will open the second try.

My 2017 has the same issue with the jerking tranny; and the rear driver door closing and then reopening on its own. And now my left side third row seat is stuck in the half stowed position. We bought this purely for the full flat floor stow and go seats. We knew ahead these vans aren’t Lexus quality! Oh well…

My 17 got that sliding door opening issue too. I searched KZbin specifically about it so I can see if it's a common issue. Now I know it is. Is this a fixable issue under warranty?

Same issue with my 2017 Touring L with the sliding door opening while Im closing. I brought it in to the deale just about few months ago and they updated the software and its fixed now.

Having the transmission problem 2017 Chrysler Pacifica,, Chrysler is actually fixing it at 114,000 miles after this is the third time taking it in for service Goes into neutral and hard shifting. Almost got hit by an 18 wheeler semi truck in the freeway. They really need to recall and fix the issue or do a buyback at this point.

I have a 2017. Riddled with electrical faults that the dealership has never fixed because they "can't replicate" the fault! IMO, get a newer one.
