to download the PSP and PS1 games, do you need to download the ISOs and stuff on your PC? or is this ALL doable straight from the vita without any connection to PC?

Straight from the Vita Though it doesn't have every game, if you want a specific game you'll have to download the rom separately. I.e. it has none of the Tony hawk games so I had to download the roms myself.

is it safe to do ? i saw a jailbreaking guide in one of those steps while downgrading the software, it says This software will make PERMANENT modifications to your vita. If anything goes wrong, there is NO RECOVERY (not even with hardware flasher). The creators provide this tool is warranty of any kind, express or and cannot be held l for any damage done. I only have 1 Vita and it's years old, is it risky and really worth the risk ?

That’s definitely an intimidating message but no as long as you stay with the well-known mods and follow the instructions there’s really no risk. And yes, absolutely yes it is worth it. I was on the fence until recently but now I will never go back, best gaming decision I’ve made in years.

Pretty easy, just factory reset it. Modded mine once and couldn't get the PS store to let me in (the way to allow it wasn't working) so factory reset it. Was able to mod it again recently

You will need to get a ps2 emulator and have a connection to a PC to make it much easier. There are guides all over the interwebs.

The mobile Port. They also have "GTA 3" and "GTA Vice City" and "Bully" and "Cuphead" and "Half Life (1)" and "Dead Space". If u get them, make sure you change the controls to "classic" and map the buttons to your liking cuz they might feel a bit off

assuming you have an sd2vita , your vita may be booting from system memory and not your sd2vita. i had that problem too a couple times where mine would read from uma0(system memory) instead of ux0(sd2vita memory). you might need to check the config file in the uma0 folder

The vita can play 10x more games than switch and also emulate the classic games that you have to pay to use on switch. Dont get me wrong I love my switch, but it's much more limited than vita for game library. Also you must be pretty young if you think old games suck
