@@babylocksewing And would be helpful if you use contrast color of fabric & thread, would be easier to see the stiches..

What a great machine. I returned two brothers but this is so much easier with auto tension . I’m so happy with it.

It was great information however, it would have more effective on less busy or solid fabric and contrasting thread.

Thank you so much! My serger has been acting up for months, and it turns out the right-hand, upper needle was a millimeter too low in its base. It wouldn’t catch stitches at all, and kept snapping. I changed tension and rethreaded my machine a hundred times, and it turns out it was just the needle not fully in place. Thanks so much for your help!

Thank you, I was just about to take my Enlighten in to the repair shop! I had tried everything, multiple times to fix the laddering on the outside of my seams. Nothing worked. Then I found your video and you mentioned the stitch selector, something I’ve never touched, but when I checked I must have judged it somehow 🙈Machine is now stitching as perfectly as ever. Thanks 🙏 😂

I agree. Hold fabric still and stitch out on solid fabric with a contrasting color thread. Perhaps you could redo this video with these changes. 😉

I have a Babylock Imagine and love it; but in the past I've forgotten to put my pressure foot down. I've also accidentally hit my differential feed down from "N". I now know where to look when my threads don't look normal. I've also forgotten to extend/lift the spool tower (many times) in the past. Now before using my serger, I check everything before serging. All is great 👍 now. Thanks for the review!!!

Great video! Very informative. I'm NEW to using a serger. My Overlock needle 1 thread is not included in the chain threads of the looper threads. Any suggestions? I'm sure I've made a mistake in threading somehow.

Hi, is there a way to stop it stretching jersey fabric? I have an Imagine and it's making the fabric a little wavy. Thanks
@babylocksewing
@babylocksewing Жыл бұрын
To clarify, are you talking about two layers of fabric combined to make a seam? If so, remember not to tug on the fabric while stitching, simply place your hands on top of the fabric and gently hold the fabric edges together while sewing. Typically, what happens with knits is they stretch while stitching using a standard setting for Differential Feed. If this is happening, simply adjust the Differential Feed up one setting (1.3) and test. This should take care of the wavy edge. If not try the next setting (1.5). If that doesn't work then the next setting (1.8). If it requires anything above 1.5, consider you may be managing the fabric with a heavy hand, it may need a stabilizer, or the fabric may be of poor quality.

What am I doing wrong if the upper looper is not engaging and the thread comes out straight and not joined with all other threads.

I REALLY like your videos, BUT this one is way too bright with all the white background n maxhine.machine. And if you could hold the fabric still for a little bit so we can see what the stitchs look like. Just my 2 cents.. Keep up the good work..

Hi Jan, we recommend a yearly maintenance appointment at your local Baby Lock retailer. They should be able to get older models in great working condition. Find your local retailer here- babylock.com/retail-locator
