Speaker: Marty Cagan
Description: More companies than ever are have decided that feature teams simply do not deliver the level of consistent innovation that their company and their customers need, so many of these companies have been working to transform to utilize modern product practices built on empowered product teams. Yet it's also no secret that this sort of transformation is not easy, as it involves a change in culture and a change in mindset, as well as new techniques. In this talk I'll discuss some of the most common pitfalls we see companies encounter, and how best to address them.
This will be a hybrid event. The Q&A session after the talk will be available only to the audience at the event location (not to the online audience).
We'd like to thank our sponsors Iterate & Netlife for supporting this event with the venue, food and drinks and for bringing the video stream to life.

Hmm I expect more of a product owner than from a product manager. I guess the words might be used differently in US.

IMO this is a case of widespread misunderstanding and ignorance where instead of actually learning what a PO role is (just a scrum role) most of us here in Europe (me including) just liked the word "Owner" better than "Manager" and made up it's meaning. With that said, as Marty himself likes to say, processes are meant to serve us therefor if an organisation is running smooth with managers who they call "owners" - so be it, as long as it works for the organisation.
