Like yesterday I went to a restaurant with my friends or family. The restaurant is situated.... I chose this restaurant because... I ordered... I tasted. The food was.. I paid for dinner....

wouldn;t the present tense of think have the accent on the bottom of the K?

In this case since the K has a shadda on it, the kassra accent goes below the shadda instead of below the K. This is telling us to double the sound of the K with an "I" short vowel.
