My cusion was jailed in Australia for 4 years and after sentence finished he was removed from Australia, he was studying there and after 5 year he wishes to finished his studies which was paused due to Jailtime, he was given 3 year exclusion period but not permanently banned. Now he wants student visa to finished his studies and apply for pr, what are odds against him?

I noticed that some visas have the requirement that no previous visa be cancelled. But what if I just cancelled my own visa because I got a job in another country and only cancelled it after I left Australia. Can I apply for another visa or am I restricted to apply?

Good day. What if this happened long time ago like 9 years ago. My husband from Philippines intentionally lie on his realationship status. When he reached australia using 457 visa after a year he brought his mistress to australia using a de-facto relationship and now with their children living in australia. And totally abondoned us his legal family. He has a pending case way back 2013 and still on going this case is Violence against women and their children. Can i still report them? Hi Dajana, PR holders are in an exempt category and are allowed to travel to Australia. There are however many practical barriers to travel, which is making the process of retuning difficult, including lack of flights, high costs of flights, flight cancellation, then need for a pre-travel covid test, the need to do 14 day quarantine in a hotel on return and more... covid19.homeaffairs.gov.au/travel-restrictions From speaking with many people effected, I understand that the process is confusing and frustrating. Hi Kreepa Giri, Sorry to say there is no date announced for when international students could get travel exemptions for Australia. Unfortunately there are still many thousands of Australian's and PR holders outside of Australia and looking to return and such returns are capped, currently about 4000 a month. So it could be quite a long wait and it has already been a long wait. The roll out of vaccines in Australia and internationally will be important to the level of travel and the return of international students to Australia. It is very hard on international students that are studying in Australia, but cannot return to Australia. All the best. Chris
